Help with Cash games

Hi,

I'm a newbie to most things here, but I started playing Bookworm free on Worldwinner about two weeks ago.

I'm kind of playing with the idea of putting in a deposit and playing some tournaments -- but not sure yet. Never done that before -- anywhere!

I've already maxed out on the "free levels" and I can regularly get a score of 50 - 60K points, which they say can beat 95% of cash players. My highest score is 115K, which is 98%.

Not sure if this is enough to match up to the more experienced players and maybe win some cash.

Has anyone actually played Bookworm for money here?

I averaged around 80,000 to 110,000 and was able to win a little bit, but not much. The tips I got from there were to focus completely on getting the bonus words...if you get up to the 5 letter bonus words you'll be scoring 200,000! My best now is 250,000, but there are players that can score up to the cap (which is at 400,000). I'd keep practicing until you can get up around 200,000 and then start playing for cash.

When searching for bonus words, you can hold down the key for whichever letter you're looking for and all of that letter on the board will light up. It's really helpful in finding bonus words fast, especially when there's an off letter like K or J or Z.

Also, when you're playing words to get the last letter of a bonus word on the board, or to bring the letters for the bonus word together, play as many 4+ letter words as you can. For every word that's 4 letters or more, you'll get a multiplier piece, and when it boils down to the last minute or so of the game, most of these multipliers will have collected at the bottom, and you can string them together for some quick, high-scoring words.

I'm really confused when it comes to cash being involved at WorldWinner. I have an account there, but I am only eligible for practice, not in the tournament, because I don't have money to invest or deposit money at WorldWinner.
