Solitaire 2 by Terry Paton much smoother than 1

Hey Fligs, I've just played Solitaire 2 on Terry Paton's website and it runs smooth as silk on my pc! I don't know what's wrong with the first version (which is on SA), but my system keeps having spasms when moving the cards across the screen. It's not all the time, just intermittently which is really annoying. I can't really compete with the other players for speed so I may have to stop playing. I don't have problems with any other game on SA or anywhere else, it's just weird.

Don't suppose there's any chance of getting the 2nd version instead? (Or have it as an option alongside the original?)

UPDATE: OK, I think my antivirus is definitely affecting the game somehow. When I turn it off, the game drags a bit the first couple of moves but then seems fine from then on. I just don't want to keep it turned off, so I'll reactivate once I've played the game.

I never noticed any problems, like that, mrfreeman??? ... but there is a bit of a drag (I can only assume is due to the better graphics). I tried the new version of Paton's ... but it was kinda blah to me. It did play better, though.

Have you updated your drivers lately? That may solve the issue. As you can already tell, Terry is a partner of SA. His game runs as smooth on his server, as ours- at least for the majority of people. I assume you have the latest version of flash too?

Actually, some people will remember that we actually had his 2nd version of solitaire on SA. However, players preferred the 1st version - it ran smoother, quicker, and although the graphics were not as nice, it was better suited for skill gaming.

Did you refresh your cache too? How about trying in different browsers?
