Is this site just that pathetic or is there something wrong that I have an open tournament of solitare that I played on 1-10-2010. I figured i would try this site out on the 10th seeing all the talk of that big solitare progressive that got up over 1k and played a few player games. Well I was the only player in the game on the 10th and a second player entered on the 14th and it is still open . I think it is pretty lame it took this long to close that one 3 player game



and another thing that is bullshit , The 1 game I entered i was in 2nd out of 3 possible places , I clicked a link that said play this competition again and it placed me in a new 3 player game. I dontt have a problem not being able to play in a competition twice but it should be written clear that its another competion of the same style not written as this competion

Hmm, some harsh words there. As you can see, I am pretty prominent in the community and our support is pretty damn fast. But, I am also not one to approach the support in a strictly professional manner -- if the user demands me to act otherwise. I'd be more than happy to discuss SA with you, but it won't be in a tone that you like if your rhetoric is demeaning.

No, we aren't pathetic. Actually, if you consider 'indie' skill gaming sites - we are pretty much one of the least pathetic ones out there.

No, it isn't a complete surprise for you to have a tournament open from 1/10. You're an experienced player, obviously, so you know that skill ranks can affect the time it takes to close a tournament; combine that with a smaller player base than what your used too and, yeah, it sometimes can take a while to finish a cash tournament. But, that's why we also incorporate other tournament styles, to alleviate that, such as You vs. You tournaments and Token tournaments - which are wagering and essentially like cash tournaments.

The 'Play Again' button is to play another tournament of the same tournament type; not to play in that same exact tournament. We, currently, do not allow players to play in the same tournament. In the future that will change, but as it stands and as it has, we do not allow players to play in the same tournament.

as for pathetic I am a pathetic solitare player and been playing at ww for many years and my top score is 1842 on their site so I wouldnt say that there isnt any1 that is in my catagory,

sure sign of pathetic scores there and I get placed against Amy everytime i try to play a player game


as for depositing into your site again I really cant see that happening anytime soon as I like to have games end in a timely matter and 2 weeks doesnt seem anything like timely . I rather lose than have to waste my time on checking the status of a tournament for that long.Plus I dont have the time to get good at new games or the desire anymore

I'm not entirely sure if you are complaining about our skill ranks or WorldWinner's. If you are getting paired up against Amy, it's because you two are in the same skill level. This could happen for several reasons - Maybe Amy doesn't play for cash and enjoys free games or maybe She lost big in a challenge tournament. Now, none of this is fact, since I didn't look into her account, but I am demonstrating the possibilities as to why certain players are in certain skill ranks.

If you prefer a tournament to close withing a 'timely' manner, than I suggest participating in a tournament that has a finite deadline; e.g. Progressive tournaments, You vs. You, Challenge Tournaments.

I think its highly arguable that something is 'great' for more than just when tournaments close. We are superior to our peers in many facets, and inferior in others. One thing we don't have is nearly unlimited budgets. You'd be surprised on how much WW and King pay, per day, to keep players coming in. We get ours nearly costless and new ones every day. It's a snowball, you can criticize or you can provide constructive criticism. Right now, you are in the former - No help really.

However, I will take solace in the overwhelming majority of users that tell us our community is amazing rather than not - Most of which, by sheer number, do not come from the Cashgamers community.

oh I see I just need a little patience to play at your site and alot of money I can have to let lay around in waiting tournaments . I just checked all the games I played on the 10th . Turns out I played in 5 player tournaments and 1 progressives . My progressive was scheduled to close on the 10th and it did. My 5 player competitions I filled up 3 of them and 2 were still open on the 10th when I played , the 1 that I wasnt winning closed on the 12th and other 1 is still open . The funny thing is that I looked at the dates of all the entries to the player competitions and the 1 was open from 11/08/2009 and closed on 1/10/2010 when i played . so in other words you dont give a shit as long as we think its fair to leave games open for months . I am guessing its cause you like to take our money and put it in your account and collect intrest on it for a few months. By not letting people be matched and winners declared you never have to worry about withdrawls . So take your attitude of my critisism and stick it up your a** right next to your site .

Actually, you've shown only your ignorance throughout the thread.

Skilled players at SA are eventually all confronted with the same issue that you describe and they all are met with the same exact answer - one of which you never bothered to get to. If a tournament is open, for an extended period of time, the player can request to have it closed. It's been our policy from day 1. If you bothered to look around the site you would have known that. Usually the first place for such an answer would be on our own support - you're just lucky enough to receive some sort of response because I happen to be in this community as well.

No reason for you to get offended and defensive; I told you from the beginning that your own rhetoric will dictate the direction of this conversation If you expect to mouth off too a business and for them to just beckon at your will, this wouldn't be one of those occasions. However, you do have this small annoyance of using extremes; e.g. pathetic, TRUE, ect. I think we do a pretty good of running the company. In fact, we've incorporated more features recommended from players than I count; and surely more, in the small time, than our peers. My aim isn't to belittle you, but I will put effort into trying to get you to step outside your own box, which appears to be pretty constricting. You're more than welcome to not continue at SA - it's your will, let me know your username so I can help you with that.

One final point for this post - Provide some constructive criticism, not name calling or bashing. Not only will it not help us out, but it won't help you out either. My stance has always been on the side of the players, hell it's a firm one that is repeated throughout many posts here on Cash Gamers. But, what you think you might be doing, by your way of criticizing, is actually not achieving what you want. You can go ahead and continue to play at only two skill gaming outlets - but for the majority of players; we are all met with a ceiling and need to venture outside the two major players. That is where SA comes in and instead of growing that community, to leverage it for all its worth, your apparent goal is to forgo that opportunity. Why do you think threads keep popping up about places to play games and other communities to win cash at - we need more.

At this point I've rambled and forgot my direction. Feel free to respond and hopefully your response directs me in a better direction. That's the type of mood I am in today! Ha.

In my book I think its pathetic to have a game open for 2 weeks and should be closed at a reasonable time . if there is only 10 players at your site then maybe i should be placed against the top 3 or bottom 3 but it would be fair giving the amount of players you currently have if I lwere ranked 2nd and played the number1 player or if I was ranked 10th I had to playe players 9 and 8 but obviously you think its fair to make me wait for motns until there is someone with the same exact game play as mine before you match them.



as for trying to help you out I informed you that PLAY AGAIN is misleading and I advised that you it should be renamed . I would think that would be critisism that you can work on

another thing that is wrong I was messaged at WW from a person that played at your site and read this thread , they said that your site is a joke and that this person had a withdrawl from your site and it went to paypal and you couldnt even handle the processing fees that they obtain to recieve the cash from your site . If i get paypal from ww i get the amount I withdrew $10 withdrawl and $10 depposit your site $10 withdrawl and aproximatly $9.10 into my payapl account ..you might want to work on that 1 too




as for giving my username to you to close the game I will wait and see how long it actually takes for a $5 game to close .
