Not Allowed to Register from this IP Address at King

Does anyone have a clue why this comes up, when I try to sign up at King?

From what I can guess at, it appears to be some way King seems to think my IP address (HughesNet) is coming from someone else. I suppose I could try to see if that could be changed or adjusted from my satellite provider, but since I can sign up with all the other "U.S. Player Allowed and Not in a Prohibited State" skill gaming site, I believe this is entirely King's problem to solve, not mine (save for the fact that I wanna play there with everyone else).

If I am SOL, fine ... I'll eventually find another player/s to cover the King "experience," but I hate to not be able to include the site simply because I can't access it. I don't need to be a cash player there, but I should be able to try out the games, and such.

Some people were having that problem too. Do a traceroute on your IP and see what state it is coming up in, but you should be able to register as a free member anyway, or so I thought.

Its possible they are using an outdated database for IP locations, but theirs should be up to date all the time... go figure.

No, I cannot register, at all ... not even for free (I might write to them later, after my site is running a bit).

Geez, I haven't done traceroute ping-y things in over a decade (DOS, I believe was the preferred OS) ... so give an old guy a break here, and explain how best to do that now?

As long as you know your IP (go to run>cmd>netstat -n) you can do a simple traceroute right through the web.. just google IP traceroute and a zillion will pop up. Odds are it won't be perfect, but give you an idea of where its located.

Is there anyway to work araound this? I used to be able to play cash games in King and now it will not give me the "deposit" option.
