Wouldn't WOF or hangmania be cheatable simply by having more than 1 person in the room solving puzzles? And also isn't there some magic spreadsheet out there to facilitate solving the puzzles?

Like others have said, if you are winning too high of a PERCENTAGE of games against the top tier of competition, I am of the view that you should be limited in what you can participate in. I would suggest survivals, ladders and freeplays.

DOND is the prime example where a single player is so much better than the next best player. Legit or not, this player wins 99% if not 100% he/she enters in one try. EVERY time.

Most games, at the top levels, there is enough parity that at least a small handful of players will win their share of games. The small handful may win 95% of the games, but at least it's not ONE person. It's really hard to draw the line as to when to limit and when not to limit. What if FOUR players won all the games at the top level and everyone else didn't stand a chance? Would it be right to ban those 4 ppl? I don't know.

I thought taht DOND player was banned for being too good recently?

We'll I know for monopoly if Bellyam is playing she wins same thing with jessica. If those two arent in the competitions (which is rare) then its hodgepodge of people who win. The same thing pretty much happens in Clue which is why I dont play anymore. If its the same 1 or 2 players tiered above the rest then its unfair IMO and they should be banned from the game.

Hows using a spreadsheet cheating? Its not something WW can monitor like they can with time altering software and the like. Anyone can go and play the puzzles and recreate the spreadsheet. Same thing can be done in games like MPI. In a good portion of the games more than1 player can be playing in the background. Whose to say you aren't helping you wife achieve her scores by memorizing the cards when they flip over too? If WW can't monitor it I dont see how it can be considered cheating.

I'm not allowed to speak or be in her line of sight while playing Clue! It requires maximum concentration; 0 outside distractions. Same thing goes for golf solitaire & Zen Gems. I am allowed to speak during Diner Dash however as that game is not mentally taxing.

From the terms of service at WW: "You may not allow any other person to access your account, access the Site, accept any winnings, or participate in any tournament using your account information."

I would interpret that as restricting 2 or more people from playing a game concurrently on 1 account.

If WW puts it in the terms of service, even if they can't monitor it, it still would be cheating!

Regarding using a spreadsheet to assist gameplay:

"Anyone who engages in, participates in, or displays behavior that may be interpreted, in the Site's sole and absolute discretion, as the use of unfair methods on the Site, including but not limited to, the opening and/or use of multiple accounts, the use of unauthorized or altered software or hardware to assist play (including the use of bots, bot nets, collusion with bots and/or use of poker software or programs)....."

You suppose if you emailed player services saying you had a Wheel of Fortune spreadsheet with all the solutions that you could use to assist your performance during a game at WW and that you'd like to give it a shot they'd say "Oh sure that's fine." Doubt it...

I'm confused you aren't allowed to be in her line of sight or speak while shes playing but you have "watched her everyday for the past 5months". Yeah okay. I'm really buying the "shes legit" now. I don't let anyone in the same room as me while I'm playing. I know players who do though have people help them play and they have openly admitted on the forums and WW doesn't seem to care. Same thing with the spreadsheets and I believe a while back there was actually a player offering to give out their spread sheet. I didn't see WW say anything about that either.

"in the site's sole and absolute discretion"

WOF sheets have been brought up before, and Worldwinner has acknowledged them saying that they'll take appropriate action if they deem certain methods as cheating. We, who announced having used spreadsheets for WOF, were left unbanned.

We game in the same room. We have a nice fairly big house, but we haven't dedicated 2 different rooms to our gaming! My desk is at 1 end of the room and hers is at the other. We have our backs to each other. Perhaps it would be more accurate for me to say I hear her play it daily as I go about my own personal gaming on the other side of the room. On occasion I have watched over her shoulder to observe the mayhem and realize how inept I am.

actually WW themselves were the whistle blowers and pot stirrers. they just like the blame their customers for their own crimes thats their mission statement and yes i would be surprised if WW has actually objectively banned a cheater in their 10 years of existence >_> then they blame us for no trusting them or not feeling safe there either

The most obvious cheat i had to deal with was Camormenboy in Price Is Right - i dont know what he did, but he would get scores ABOVE the PIR MAXIMUM (8400) in games. He would get 8100+ consistently no matter what the board was. it was absolutely RIDICULOUS! YOu would think if a person scores about the mechanical MAXIMUM for a game that he would be banned instantaneously. but noooooooooooo. Us PIR people had to deal with that guy for at least 6 weeks. 3-4 weeks after the first person reported him. "yes we are committed to fairness" oh PUHLEASE WW!

funny how all our stories about persistent cheats and worst cheater experiences are all at WW. no one has mentioned king at all XD king treats us right, say what you want about thme but they protect us and keep us safe.

I was wondering when you were gonna chime in on this discussion. And yes, it is sort of funny how everyone has a story to tell about their experiences with cheaters at WW. Hmm... Maybe that's why I don't really play there much at all anymore.
