yikes! lost by 250 in a $75 survival match where I didn't miss all that much. If I would've played better I could've lost by 150! This guy is ridiculous AND he's still allowed in normal competitions. ANyone else have horror stories?>

That sucks, man.
Yeah I have a horror story: arctic... averages about 1050+ in Premiums, and has a win% of at least 95. You think WW would notice when a player dominates two of the most cheatable games (or least I hear Mystery P.I. is cheatable) but I guess not. Also, recently, "she" played the same Premium twice to try and outscore arch's 1110, and did. NO LEGIT PLAYER would play a Premium to try and outscore a 1110. Especially when you have 2nd place secured with one entry. I don't believe a single word of "her" profile, either. In reality arctic is probably some fat computer programmer but WW refuses to ban such the sweetheart with a guilty pleasure of Justin Timberlake whose kids have nicknames for games. Give me a break.
Yeah, about the top 5/6 players in Clue cheat but alas they are there and WW won't ban them. Then of course the infamous Bellyam in Monopoly Downtown. Her other account "nbmm" was banned but WW only went half way with her. Then of course there are people who are dumb enough to believe bellyam isn't cheating and of course WW doesn't give a rat's ass. Really has WW EVER banned a cheater?
No...but they DO ban whistle blowers and pot stirrers...right GG?![]()
It's been something discussed in PMs with other clue players some of them I didn't realize. RezzotheWanderer, and thattrout.gsn, are suspected but very likely cheats. Then theres meempq, andziessmartgirl whoa re pretty much confirmed cheats. I think thattrout and rezzo do cheat. I don't play very much anymore so I KNOW I'm leaving out a few more cheats and I can't go back far enough in my games to get their names. How do I know they cheat? Their scores are way too high all the time and way TOO consistent. FLuke scores? Okay but every game getting scores that high? Yeah right.
So how could a player confirm they are not a cheat? meempg is actually my wife, and I know with 100% certainty she does not cheat. Her scores are legitimate.
Of course I realize my assurance will do nothing to change your mind; you will most likely simply say "whatever, liar"!! And I don't blame you. I've seen her play, and her speed and memory is amazing. If I hadn't seen her skills every day for the past 5 months playing Clue, I wouldn't believe it.
If it makes you feel better when she first started playing the game she'd only make it 3 rounds before she'd lose. Now pretty much the only person who gets her is unkown.
Anyhow, what could a player do to prove she is legit? Onsite witnessing is probably impractical If you want to see her play in person we live just north of Houston TX if you want to come over.
We have a webcam, we could record her playing and put it on youtube. I guess the question is if a player is sophisticated enough to cheat, wouldn't they be able to fix the video to make it look convincing? And wouldn't it be easy to just say she's running some special software to assist her gameplay? Or is a webcam sufficient to squash concerns?
Ultimately I suspect the only way to prove you're legit is to play at some neutral site on 3rd party hardware? And then of course if you had more than 2 people playing there you'd end up violating WW's term's of service and get banned!
Is it valid to suspect somebody cheats because they are consistently good? Especially in a game like Clue which has no real luck aside from occassionally clicking 2 unknown tiles and getting a match? You flip cards, memorize what they are, and click as frickin fast as possible removing them. It's not like solitaire where you can blow up and not finish.
Anyhow, I find this to be very interesting and wonder if we can resolve anything!
thanks,
Don
