Exactly. I have to give them props even though I think this new stuff is totally stupid. You have to do something to keep people who are losing $$ entertained so that they keep hanging around.

I thank King for the $18.00 I won in the BJ2 Jackpot. Without the downtime, I wouldn't have been able to take ~30th place with a score of 14.2k.

Haha, their way to compensate is to give a bonus if you deposit more money to them. Nice.

but if they want to make more money from us and have us deposit more...they STILL need to increase their money making potential and have bigger entry fees, premiums, progressives in all ranks

Being relatively new at King, I want to make sure I understand things right. Every tournament you play there other than the freeroll you are being matched up against people of similar skills. Right? So why not have an 'Open' progressive in each game, clearly label it as such, and let the lower rank players have a shot at the best players. The best players get some new dead money to collect. And as a consolation prize, every entry could earn people an awesome castle upgrade, like a free outhouse for their castle!

ah, thx! So that explains a lot of the excitement around the royal cups. Makes me glad I haven't played one of those just yet!
