any other canadians out there on WW?
So, I went ahead and started playing games for free (on their $20 they gave me with the match). and i realized i wasnt seeing much improvement. then i checked into it... they are jipping me on my winnings! its called tax withholding.... thing is, canadians arent required to pay any taxes on winnings, or even claim them for that matter. we win, we win, that simple.
ive sent them a mail asking them what it is i need to change... anyways....
i was wondering, when you have credits and real cash, does it take the credits first or the real cash if you were to enter a competition? if im already getting jipped i would like to keep what little actual winnings i have.
I am wondering if this withholding thing is fancy for 'we are taking our share'.
its pretty pathetic to enter something for .75 and win a whopping 2 cents (.77 back - supposed to be $1.10)
any canadians out there with these same frusterations?

I'm not entirely sure, but I think that since Worldwinner is based in the United States, US taxes still apply (Kinda' like if you live in Canada near the border, but work in the US? I'm not sure about that, either)
Either way, the withholdings don't take into account certain details, and a small portion of it will be refunded at the end of the year. You should also be able to deduct a lot and end up getting that back later on too.
Brian, Bmy1, is from Canada and deals with the tax thing as well-- I'm sure he has some insight he'd be happy to share with you. He'll probably post here when he sees it.

awesome, some answers soon would be nice. not that im being greedy - im just so confused! lol.
Does anyone happen to know if it uses the real cash or the game credits first if you entered a cash competition? just something ive been curious about

I haven't played world winner in a long time, because the taxes made it almost impossible to make any money, but if I remember correctly the game credits would be used first, before any real cash is deducted for entrance fees... the opposite of king.com.
I had the same problem with taxes, I'd enter $1 5-person games, the prize was $3.50, which is a net winnings of 2.50, but with the taxes, the net winning was something like $1.60... so paying $1 for a 1 in 5 chance of winning $1.60 isn't too great... you have to win pretty much every game to make a profit... so anyways, for canadians, king.com is a way better deal, I made about $50 total playing for a couple of months on ww, I made over a grand in my first 2 weeks on king.com...

I think the game credits / cash are allocated 50/50 when you have game credits available.

does king.com have something similar to game credits? I know you can play free games...
