Amy, we know you're gonna take 1st in the SR tournament so I'll ask you in advance -- what's the money gonna be spent on? A big down payment on a Corvette? A fat diamond ring? Share the love!

Haha, don't jinx me! There's no guarantee I'll take first, although I'm obviously hoping that I will.

And nothing as pimp as a car or diamonds. I'll pay off a chunk of my student loans, donate some to the local humane society, and take a nice vacation somewhere. I'm torn between somewhere in Europe like Luxembourg or the Cayman Islands.

What will you do from your bj2 winnings? And for gamergoddess?

guys, paying off student loans is a bad investment...you'll never get money that cheap again. If you have anything you can invest in that will make you 2% or more, do it. (assuming you have low rate student loans and the interest is deferred...)

postscript to that: when i was in undergrad, some of the better off students actually borrowed the max in student loans, then invested all of it in the stock market (some of them did bonds), and then cashed it out at their deferment date...made a bundle...

That makes sense, but I'm poor and have over $50k in student loan debt (not including interest rates), so unearthing myself from that mess as soon as possible is much better from my perspective. Ugh I need to win this, me needs the money.
