have you guys seen the top score in the top winner tournament that ends this friday(2/20). holy crap!!! 2nd place is a holy crap!!! score too.

Well, the layouts do seem to be very favorable to creating power gems, but damn, a score of 61336. I can only imagine the huge combo/cascade that occurred to get that score, perhaps a couple of them. This game would be an awesome one to have on video.

Well, I've just been playing a few games and my current high score is 16000+. There's a crazy cascade on Level 4 if you get the right set-up. A big cluster of white gems will drop into the layout, create a bunch of power gems, and then explode for something like 6000 Points.

I KNOW! Those are some sick scores. I bet they wished they had recorded those games, 'cause DAYUM. Too bad they only get like $50 for that.

Random thoughts:

1. I, too, would pay to see that game.

2. My first thought was "FAKE!!" but I think it may have been legit due to the crazy 4th board opportunity. I put up 17.5K on try #2 and actually messed up pretty badly.

3. Interesting that the score was allowed to be recorded. On WorldWinner, that score comes up as a 1 and that player is banned forever.

4. I don't think I'd ever even seen a score of 40K before.

5. Let's think about how many levels were cleared: level 1 ends at 500, 2 ends at 1500, 3 ends at 3000, 4 ends at 5000, 5 ends at 7500, 6 ends at 10500, 7 ends at 14000, 8 ends at 18000, 9 ends at 22500, 10 (assuming the pattern stays the same -- never been this far) ends at 27500, 11 ends at 33000, 12 ends at 39000, 13 ends at 45500, 14 ends at 52500, 15 ends at 60000, thus this person made it to level 16!!

6. DAMN. FIFTEEN LEVELS COMPLETED. How long is that game? 5 minutes or 4? Either way,that's completing each level in an average of 15-20 seconds. That includes the time it takes to transition from level to level, which has to be 3-5 seconds. SICK.
