    Default Need help with this

Ok, So I think most of you know that I am in college, right? Maybe.. Anyways I need some help with doing some "investigative" journalism for the paper.

Free iPod Video and Free Zune offer - Thousands shipped. Get yours

Most of you guys are probably familiar with sites like these, who hasn't seen them really? I guess there has been an increase with in interest with these sites among the younger crowd, ipods, ect.

Initially I was to try and actually get the 5 people to sign up underneath me, document everything, actually see if the item comes. Some o fthese places are scams (wow, how woulda thought?!), some of them are actually legit (again, who woulda thought lol).

I told my team, no way am I going to get 5 people without some kind of incentive. So, they gave me a $25 budget, lol. Since there are 5 referrals I will give each person $5 to sign up underneath me, straight from Paypal once it says its been completed.

Um, there are only 4 left though, I got rid of one on another forum.

To make thing seasier, I will tell you the one that I did, it cost no money. However, all of the offers, do require a credit card.

    1. Follow the above link, sing up and move onto completing 1 offer.

    2. You can choose whichever off you like, but I recommend the Napster offer. All the offers require a Credit Card, this is a free trial. However, I signed up and immediately cancelled. I still got the offer validated and I wasn't charged. Napster is a reputable company so there aren't worries about your CC information.

To cancel the offer, get into the napster site. At the top left there is a "My Account" link. Put your cursor over My account, click Change Membership Plan. Then cancel the free trial.

It's really as simple as that. Once your offer completion is validated on the website, I'll gladly send you $5 through Paypal.

However, I understand if people don't want to do it too, please don't just spam the thread. If it has to come down, ok.

I already did the one offer days ago and I didn't get billed or anything, either.

There is only two (2) spots left

I've done these types of deals before for money back when I was just learning how to make some money online. I actually built up my WorldWinner bankroll by doing offers like these, hahaha...

Most of these places are in fact legit, but will "scrub" you as their lead if you cancel prematurely from a free trial offer. You'll probably never see a Zune since mp3players4free isn't going to get paid by Napster for your signup.

Wanna use me as an imaginary signup? I signed up under you, I also immediately canceled, and I never saw anything. And now I live in paranoia that my credit card is going to be hit with fictitious charges.

Let me know if you have any questions about PTC offers for your paper...I'll be glad to help!

I've heard of them plenty before, they've been around forever. But, I never actually did any of them before, I just counted them off as scams.

I did the napster one and canceled and it credited me for the offer, I wouldnt doubt it if my referally were filled with those if they didnt send out the item.

Umm, the only thing I forgot to mention is that on the offer page, once you signed up for any of the offers you needed to click the "I completed this offer" button. Then it takes one (1) business day to confirm.

You signe dup though? Once it confirms I'd be glad to send over the $5. That would mean there are only 3 spots remaining.

Nah, I didn't sign up at all. Thus, I said "imaginary" signup...I don't wanna give my credit card out to them.

Oh, it's ok. I don't blame you to be honest. Someone will come by that wants the free $5 though.

*Just to restate, I did use my CC and was not charged anything.*

We did this kind of thing when my shop was part of IGUK a lan centre organisation, someone paid the members there to complete the offers on one that offered up a PC system as its top referral, we decided to see if it paid out ok, as it cost the guy about £250 for what was a £2,000 machine at the time.

We were all sceptical, until it actually paid up So I know for a fact that at least some of these sites are legit.
