Default Some Interesting Stats in SC...

From my last 45 days of competitions:

    Me:
    Avg: 929
    Stdev: 121
    Count: 111

    Archaeopteryx:
    avg: 893
    Stdev: 109
    count: 61

    Meathook:
    avg: 883
    stdev: 144
    count: 19

    arcticsnowbunny:
    avg: 927
    Stdev: 110
    count: 38
    Further breakdown:
    in competitions with 1st prize > 15$
    avg: 982
    stdev: 63
    count: 21

    kavishah:
    avg: 1013
    stdev: 75
    count: 7

obviously standard deviation is less accurate at lower count, but still useful. I am keeping tables from now on.
I have omitted games where the person has punted (i.e. in multiple entries where they obviously started the board and quit early because they made a mistake or something, Johan I'm looking at you! so basically scores <600 weren't tallied unless other good players put up scores in that range).
And for Kavi I removed a single outlier of a 713 score, just to avoid the big error in stdev it caused.

    Comments/questions welcome...

Is Kavishah the best Scrabble Cubes player around now? I mean, statistically speaking, it looks like Kavishah has been whooping your asses.

it is amazing! her average is only 130 pts less than her top score ever! remarkably consistent...now, wait a bit, since 7 games is hardly enough to get true trend..

That's bizarre that she is so good. I didn't think of her as the dictionary learning type.

    Default one wonders...

based on my limited experience playing with her, she seems to do extraordinarily well in the specials/premiums yet tanks/sandbags the few lower payout tourneys she enters. It is interesting that she neither plays nor excels at the other word games on WW. Because most of us word geeks are prolific or at least well above average in most if not all of the word games on WW/king or in real-life scrabble. For instance, I'm near or at the top (top tier of div 1) in WOF, hangmania, and half-decent at mojo (high score 2400) and bookworm (high score ~170,000). I'm also pretty good at word link/keyword/word seance/word battle on king.

Rahn/kev1093 are both RL scrabble geniuses among other things. rahn's also a boggle/word link/keyword expert.
    mysenses is a mojo genius.
    meathook is a wof genius
archaeopteryx is a cascade expert and scored 250k in bookworm without finding a single bonus word.

    i could go on...

anyway... some interesting stats from my few SC games today (I haven't played much lately)... today was actually a good session, taking a break from WOF:

    games: 12
    mean: 920
    high: 1032
    low: 805
    std dev: 76.5

    What the shit

    I've gotta' try that now.

We'll have both turbo-scrabble and bonus-free bookworm challenges!

Just send her a challenge in-game along with your message.

No go. They took away the ability to send a message that shows up with the challenge when they implemented gifts.

You can still send a message along with a challenge, but they won't get it until after playing the challenge, and even then-- Only if you send them a gift along with it.
