    Default King.com RANKING

    Hey guys,

I am starting at king.com and I am pretty good at one game. I heard that if you score well too fast then your rank goes up very fast too and then there is no more "interesting" cash games. What would be the better strategy to make sure I stay in the low rank to make money?

Does the score of a game influence your rank or is it only the place you finish in a competition that influence it?

King.com experienced players, I need your help

    Thanks,
    Dieuz

I don't think there is a profitable way to keep a low ranking. You need to win at least 2 of every 3 games to make a profit. There's no way to avoid climbing the ranks until you win only about half of your games. That's what's so evil about King.com.

Scores and such don't matter. You either win or you lose. It's best if you beat people in the lower end of your bracket and lose against those with a similar or higher ranking, but you can't choose your opponents so there's no way to manipulate it like that.

If you're looking to maximize the amount of profit you can make while being low ranked, here's what you do:

    * Get really good at the game you're playing, to the point where no one in your ranking range stands a chance

    * Have a lot of money in your King.com balance

    * Open up a ton of $3.50 entry tournaments and score consistently well. You need to start up these games immediately after each other...your ranking doesn't change until after a tournament is closed, so if you open up 20 tournaments at 2000 rank you'll be facing off against people in that ranking range for those 20 tournaments.

    * Laugh at all the noobs and collect the money

(That's what I did for Bejeweled 2 on King...since I had prior playing experience from WorldWinner I made a cool $250 my first day)

Another method is to play the first round of a bunch of Cup games. Once you play the first round, you're locked into the ranking bracket of that game.

A few months ago I took the time to get good and "Four Seasons" I started out playing a ton of cup games in the 3000-4000 ranking range. Probably 30-40 cup games. It turned out that the number of users in that range that play the cup games was relatively small compared to the 4000-6000 ranks and 6000-8000 Ranks. All the other cups I entered in the higher ranks finished relatively quickly. However, the 3000-4000 were slow to complete. When it was all said and done, I was still playing the final round of some of my 3000-4000 rank cup games over a month after I first entered. Needless to say, I'm sure many of those players were a little annoyed to be losing to me in the final round since my rank had skyrocketed to 9500 by that time. Easy way to make a decent sum of money against low-ranked players.

And if you have all the time in the world and a big Cash balance, stop and play a ton of the limited entry games as you progress up the rankings as well as Ikaruga suggests.

Wow Thanks, I really appreciate your help. Your strategies are excellent guys!

When you reach a very high rank, is there still a way to make money if you are really good at a game? or your doomed?

@Ikaruga: But let say I play thousand of practice games, then I load my account with 200$ (using my credit card). I then, start +- 50 tournaments and win them all. Wont king be suspicious about me??

Maybe so, but unless you have something to hide from King you're OK.

They can see your practice games... so no problem.

What I have found works nicely for me at the moment is playing the daily progressives, and pretty much only that per game.

I got good enough to top carnival, chuzzle, animal athletes, crescendo and im working on several others.

I top or come top 10 in the progressives and pick up £10-£20 (if i win) per tournament per day. It makes my rank rise, but I think in comparason to the time invested in the equivalent of playing of tournaments it works quite nicely.

This also works nicely for the weekly progressive, as its worth a lot more money. If I see that my rank will rise after the next progressive, I play all the remaining tournaments in my bracket + a few cash games.

I am also new to king and this the conclusion I came to. I even think it may be worth winning a progressive especially say in crescendo and winning £30, then playing a few 0.40p games and losing them on purpose to make your rank drop.

Havn't tried this out yet tho

I thought of this but too I am not sure this would work.

that's a bad idea... when they review your account during withdrawals, they'll see that; best case, they'll raise your ranking through the roof; worst case, your account gets deleted.
