Slightly off topic... I'm not a "switcheroo" expert and in fact I'm pretty horrible at these sorts of games, but I played a few games of twist me silly and it finally occurred to me after about 5 games of scores no higher than 25,000 that basically the primary goal is to connect the "throbbing" tiles to eliminate an entire board of one colour as quickly and as often as possible. is this generally the strategy of scoring high in this game?
Pretty much... what you do is:
If there's no color bomb (the throbbing tile), you scan the board for four legit moves, then quickly make them to get the four-combo which will create a color bomb. If the sound effect increases in pitch that means you're fast enough and adding to the combo. It helps if one move causes another move, but this is not necessary, as long as tiles leave the board in quick succession.
If there is a color bomb, focus on setting it off (or try and make another if there's really no way). Don't do this on level 1, save it for level 2. When you set it off, the most important thing is that it results in another four-combo so you get a new color bomb. Try and keep the combo going as long as possible, making new moves whenever you see one, while everything is still falling down. Huge combos are how you score big in this game. When the pitch of the sound effect goes back down, that means you were too slow and the combo ended. After that a new color bomb will appear (if the combo was at least four moves) which you will try to set off, etc.
wow ppl in the 2000-3000 ranks are putting up scores of 150k+ in the progressive sheesh :P My high is only like 55k lol
