I've heard that Solitaire Rush folks use touch screens to gain a competitive edge. Are touch screens legal to use in cash play?

Um no way, touch screens are TERRIBLE for solitaire. Anyone that says they're good is either lying or has some special skill that I've never heard of. It slows down your performance like whoa. Buying a case of Red Bull would be a better investment for getting faster at SR.
As far as the legality on ww, I think it's a gray area but they can't ban you for them and it'd probably be damn near impossible to prove.
Haha, alright...it was just something I heard.

Hi everyone. I've been lurking for a while, and decided to go ahead and join this interesting forum. I play , (not so great) mainly at WW , but graze at all the others. (moo, lol). I have owned a touch screen for over a year , and I'm here to tell you, it doesn't really help much, with the games at WW. I use my mouse most of the time, and I have mentioned on their forum (a while back),that I own one, and have never heard anything from them ( and we know how stringent they are about what's posted there). I do use it to play Tile City, and do somewhat well ,but only because I started out playing it with the touchscreen and stylus, so I'm used to it and mess up too much when trying that game with a mouse. But, Houseofpancakes is right--mouse play does seem to be faster.
Hey Kelly, nice to meet ya! Well, my idea was to use a touch screen for BJ2 and play using both of my hands in hopes of ramping up my playing speed. In theory, not having to drag a mouse would save a few milliseconds each move and could add up to better scoring performance. It's just an idea though, and I don't want to purchase a touch screen only to find out it doesn't help.![]()

With bj2, the problem is you can only make one move at a time. I have a touch screen and I thought oh man I could own at games like SwapIt if I could make 2 moves at once, but if you so much as graze the screen while making a move, it'll freak out and either not do anything, or make the wrong move. Or it will make the same move you can make with a mouse.
I've noticed improvements in Golf Solitaire, and as Kelly said, it helps with Tile City. For other games, I think it's either neutral or detrimental to your playing.
There is a max speed in BJ2 to which you can move the jewels. You have to wait until the previous move finished... I alwasy try to go faster and end up going slower because I have to click twice to make the move, the first click was before the previous move finished and it doesnt register.
