Default What'd you guys buy for Black Friday?

I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving, and also a long shopping spree at their nearest mall & electronics store! I took it pretty easy this year...I managed to snag a $225 Alfani sports coat at Macys for only $30. $225 marked down to $80, and then I had a $50 gift card...woohoo!

I was supposed to buy a laptop for grad school next year but eh...couldn't find a decent deal. How about you guys?

My husband bought himself a HP printer/scanner/fax/copier for $40, and a new monitor for a gift for the adult in our family whose name he drew (we draw names among the adults instead of buying for everyone).

Ikaruga, I bought my laptop used off eBay. I wanted to get one with XP since at the time I was shopping for one, people were comlaining about possible WW/Vista issues, and I knew I'd be using it to keep up with WW when we're out of town. I bought it when LiveSearch was giving 25% back on an eBay "Buy It Now" purchase paid with Paypal, so it wound up costing me under $190, including shipping. That particular 25% back deal seems to appear every few months. Might be worth shopping eBay if they run it again.

A ton of stuff! My bank account hurts lol. You went Macy's shopping too? I got a coat there as well, a $400 Calvin Klein coat for $200. You got an awesome deal on that coat. Blanket from Bed Bath and Beyond, a ton of soap and weird aloe vera socks at Bath and Body Works in order to get a swag bag, lingerie from Victoria's Secret to get a swag bag, a warm hoodie marked down from like $40 to $14.98, a bunch of Banana Republic stuff, and some toys for my cats. I wanted to get a new TV but dinner took too long and Circuit City had closed. I plan on spending even more tomorrow, it should be a blast!

Woo, you went full spring with the shopping! I'll be in San Francisco tomorrow, and I will undoubtedly be shopping around some more...though my wardrobe is pretty complete now (for a guy) and I don't think I need more clothes.

Skialot, you got a great deal...$190 for a used laptop is a steal if it's got good specs. I'm not looking for a fancy dual core system, but it'd be nice to have something that can also be used for demanding processes (like gaming, lol). I'll definitely be keeping an eye out on EBay, and I'll be watching Amazon like a hawk on Cyber Monday.

I ended up picking up a refurb Ipod 3rd Gen Nano for $79 directly from Apple and a car charger/FM transmitter for $10 for it as well.

It's not fantastic specs, but I mostly play word games, so I didn't need anything fancy. It's got a Mobile P4 2.0 Mhz, XP, but only 256 mb of RAM; I'll probably add more sometime. I has a CDRW DVDROM drive, so the kids can watch movies on it in the car (we do a lot of driving vacations). It came with a wireless card, and has a 20gb drive. It does what I need it to do, and it has paid for itself many times over by allowing me to play on the road.

If you eBay, check to see whether you have a coupon today. I didn't get one, but my sister did. It's a 10% off any Buy-it-now item that can be paired with a 30% cash back if you join live.com and buy through that and pay with Paypal. Thus about 40% off a Buy-it-now item. I think it can only be used by the people who received it, but if you're one of the lucky ones, you can pick up a laptop pretty cheap. When I did the similar deal, the cash-back (25% at that time) was good only up to $250. It's a today-only deal and it does take about 8 weeks to get your cash-back recredited to Paypal, but I did get it eventually. I wish I had gotten today's offer, as I would use it for a Christmas gift. But sigh, I didn't.
