Thread: A progressive cup query?

  1. #1

    Question A progressive cup query?

Yes thats right, yet another question

    Ok -

1/319 £17.95 <- In my progressive chuzzle yesterday I placed 1st out of 319 people.

    Today - Currently

    I am 1/445 - with 1st place prize been a total of £16.38

They are both the same progressive 0.40 entry.

Why is the prize money lower when there are a lot more players? Even if more players get prizes, surely its a progressive thing - the top prizes all increase slightly and a new prize is added on the bottom?

Or is it that because there are more players in the prize pool, it simply gives out to a bigger field thus lowering the prize?

    Am I missing something?

I believe your probably right in thinking that because of the larger player numbers, the amount of players eligible to win a prize is higher and therefore the prize is spread thinner...

Hopefully the prize for the top players will rise for you before the tournament closes...

The number is the amount of people that have played; not the amount of games. Both are relevant when prize money is determined. Usually players can play up to five times in one progressive.

    Nice

Probably too high now to keep doing that... I think in Chuzzle once you become King it gets hard to consistently win.
