With most ISPs you get a static IP, it never changes. If you're on AOL or something then your IP will change whenever you reconnect; they'd only be able to tell that you're on AOL. So to get a new IP you either switch ISPs or leech off of someone else's wireless. Or use a proxy.

I had a friend of a friend of a friend try to play on King and Worldwinner with a proxy. He was able to log through, but his Paypal account got temporarily locked off since a "foreign IP" had accessed it when making a deposit.

So yeah, using a proxy didn't work for m--- err, him.

Totally true, they could do a lookup, but I dont think they go that far. I think it is a more automated process. They look for an exact match and it automatically blocks the account.
