    Default Advice?

OK... I want to play for cash but I don't to jump in and screw up, LOL. So a little advice please?

As a free player, I've played for about 3 days on Worldwinner. On Bejeweled my top 10 scores are:

    6,540
    6,132
    5,354
    4,599
    4,382
    4,340
    4,297
    4,077
    3,997
    3,992

On Hangmania my top 10 scores are between 1525 - 1933. I play the word games and stuff too but these are my best games.

Are these good enough to play for cash?

Should I put in $20 to get $20 match instead of $10?

I'm guessing I should start with small competitions, like 2 - 5 player? The cheapest to enter at first, right? Until I get the feel of things and all?

How often should I pull out any wins (if I get any, LOL!)? Weekly, or when it reaches a certain amount ($25?) etc?

Thanx so much for the help, I'm so nervous but knowing I get $20 bonus helps!

OH! And it says you can challenge friends but I'm guessing not in cash competitions, right? I'd much rather lose to a friend, LOL!

One more edit cos I forgot, LOL.... how many points do you need to get something?

OK I forgot something else =P Only the winner gets anything, right? There's no 2nd, 3rd, etc place cash prizes? What about on King?

A few questions to go through, but here we go!

Continue working on your scores...try to maintain an average of at least 4,000 before jumping into cash games. Also try to fluke a score of 8,000+ every once in a while, whether it be through hypers or lucky chains.

I dunno anything about Hangmania, I think Gamergoddess knows the scoring standards better.

Try working on your BJ scores for a week or two before plunging into cash games...I suppose it's OK if you're just using the bonus money.

I would put in $20 to get a $20 match plus the extra rewards points. Just withdraw your $20 back.

Yes, start with the cheap stuff until you feel a little bit more comfortable wagering in higher stakes games. But if you find yourself playing particularly well against a ranking group, take a plunge at some higher stakes stuff ($2.50 / $3.65 entry games).

Pull out your wins to however you wish...I always try to pull out when I make a profit for the night, and then start fresh my next cash gaming session.

You CAN challenge friends for cash.

For Rewards Points, you'll be able to check a list of prizes along with the points needed to redeem something. It can be as little as $5 in game credits (which is really easy to accrue points for) or up to a $500 Visa gift certificate.

There ARE 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 10th, etc. prizes on both WW and King. There are different tournament formats with their respective prize and placing structure. You'll be able to check them all out once you make a deposit.

Thanx! I did my $20 deposit and got my $20 bonus + a $5 bonus for confirming email. I also have 3,020 points so close to getting an extra $5, and I got the 50 mypoints, so I guess I'm already ahead LOL. Oh and I entered the free ones, the September Freeplay thing =)

I'm not sure I understand the match-ups though... are you matched with people that have the same average score, or have been playing the same amount of time? So if I play a friend, it's 1-on-1? And is it only tournements that pay out 2nd & 3rd places? The 5 player ones only pay the #1 right?

Sorry for all the questions! =)

Well, to put it simply...you're matched with people of similar playing ability, which means that their streak of average scores will more or less be around yours. Levels / amount of playing time means nothing.

    If you play a friend, it's 1 on 1.

Yeah, only tournaments pay out 2nd and 3rd places...some pay up to 20th place such as the daily special for every game, so you might want to check that out once you get better.

The $1.65 5 player games only pay #1.

Keep the questions coming! We're here to help you!

Thanx!!! You guys are so friendly and helpful!

So if I play my friends it would be like, we each pay $1 and the winner gets $2? That would be fun to practice.

I'm so nervous, even though it's bonus money. I guess after a few games that lets up! =)

I'm thinking of putting $5 in King, cos I get $10, and the fees seem small, 40c or so, plus it seems to pay like the top 20... but I see allot of people on here say they can't make anything on King. =o/

Do what I did. Get really good at Bejeweled 2 on Worldwinner, and when you're ready, hit up the $4.00 entry games on King. Their ranking system is different since it's ladder-style...you gradually progress through the ranks from bottom to top. I made around $200 on my very first night of playing King.com by doing that, and even more once I got to the top ranks. Plus, if you do get to a point where it's futile playing 1v1 cash games for profit (like where I'm situated), you can play the daily progressives and hope to fluke a high score for a huge prize. Wagering $.80 in hopes of winning $95 ain't a bad deal.

Thanx! Sounds like a good plan!!! It looks like 15,000+ is a good score, so I'm gonna try for that!

When it says "play again to better your score", do you pay another entry fee?

Yep, you can make multiple entries but you have to pay.
