Worldwinner.com Will Be Holding a Contest Soon...

I just got off the phone with the Player Services Manager of Worldwinner, and here's what's going to happen...PLEASE keep this on the down-low, as it's not meant to be information spread out to everyone.

Starting sometime next week or the week after, Worldwinner will be holding a video tutorial competition amongst the players of Worldwinner.com. There will be prizes of rewards points in big quantities to 1st 2nd & 3rd, along with prizes for runner-ups. If you've been thinking of creating a video guide for Worldwinner.com, start NOW and get what content you'll need to create it. All entries will be featured on the official Worldwinner.com Youtube channel for everyone's viewing pleasure.

If you want to make a video guide and need help on how to do so, let me know and I'll help you out...all you need is a video recording application, a microphone, and a video editing program (Windows Movie Maker is good). That's about it.

Well, I ended up writing a guide on how to create a video guide...so here we go!

To record a video guide using a Windows PC, you will need the following:

* A video recording program
* A microphone or any device that can record sound
* A video editing program

For a video recording program, I would recommend using either Camtasia or Hypercam. Both programs come with a free trial and is completely functional during that time. You can find either of these by doing a quick Google search and then proceed to their respective pages for download.

For video editing, Windows comes with its own video editing program -- Windows Movie Maker. To find the program, open up your Start Menu and go to Programs -> Windows Movie Maker.

If you're looking to produce a quality guide, you'll probably want to utilize a video of you scoring particularly high or showcasing the use of a powerful scoring tactic. Make attempts at recording multiple games until you achieve a score / good game that you're willing to feature for your guide.

Do not try to record yourself while actually playing your game -- being pressured to speak and give advice while trying to score high can be a daunting task. What you'll want to do is record your video with no sound, and then seperately use a sound recording program (such as Sound Recorder, which comes with Windows). When you're ready to record sound, open up your video and start recording right when you press "Play" on the video. Do a voice-over for your game and take as many attempts as needed to a sound recording you want to use.

Once you have your video and voice-over, open Windows Movie Maker and import both files to the program. Add both files to the timeline and coordinate them so that your video and voice are synced together. When you're done, open the File menu and choose the "Save Movie" option (or whichever option allows you to export your movie, depending on your version of Windows). For optimal (smaller) file size, save your guide in .WMV (Windows Movie Video) format. And that's it! Now you have a guide ready to share to the World of Worldwinner!

John Kim is my fave WW employee and he is really nice to talk to but we dont have any power to influence other players accounts and its out of place to ask for such a thing to. so i just pass along my suggestions for inproving their site and games and the like and make em some videos XD

He didn't tell me that it was super secret news, and plus...this place is kinda underground anyway so not much harm done.

Yup, I know how to split videos, not a problem at all for me. If you can provide the download link when your 2nd part is revised, I'll split it where you want it.

Nah, I'm still a guppy in a big pond...but there's a lot of potential for things to happen as traffic continues to pick up on here and guides are continually uploaded. We'll free you from your cage soon enough!
