my opinion (from someone who doesn't own any special devices) is that this should be entirely legal. The devices are available to everyone and those who find that it gives them a competitive edge should use it. We're talking hardware here, any software manipulation might be considered cheating since it makes drawing a line in the sand a bit more difficult...

Thanx guys! My arm was scratched up plus 4 huge puncture (bite) wounds by a wild cat when we had an exotic animal rescue so it gets a little hard on me using the mouse so much. I'll look into the trackball. I wonder if a Wacom tablet would be good for Bejeweled?

I think it's a bit of a grey area, and we havent established a policy on it yet... All we can do is look at the way the game was played and if they played it in a 'different' way which we feel gave them an unfair advantage, we'll just refund both users the entrance fee and stop that user from playing any more cash games until we've had a chance to communicate with them properly.

On one hand we don't want to discriminate against users who can't physically use a mouse, but then on the other hand there are reasons that certain paralympians were not allowed to compete in the 'real' olympic games.

I think we'll think hard about this, but it seems like the most likely solution is to disallow such technology in games where it could make a real difference (Sweet Swap for example), but then allow it for other games where input speed makes no difference at all. But this is still open for debate

Thats understandable, and I don't want to use anything that may seem to be an advantage. I didn't even know you could use a game controller on a PC until someone asked why I didn't use one so I thought I'd see if it was commonly used. =) I thought I'd feel really stupid if I was using a mouse and 95% of other players had controllers or joysticks LOL!

I can use the mouse fine but after a few games the muscle tissue that has the scar tissue on it gets sore and I need to stop for a while, so it's no big deal =) I use a wireless mouse so thats a huge help because I can adjust my arm to different positions and switch hands without having to fight cords. Being able to use the left hand a few games then switch to the right a few games without moving anything aroung is a HUGE help!
