Thread: Worldwinner Question

    Default Worldwinner Question

Hey, so this might be posted already but I couldnt find it.

On Worldwinner, is there only 1 rank for all the games? For instance, King has a ranking for each game so you could be ranked high for one but low for another.

I kicked some butt in Chuzzles and made it to level 2, now Im ranked level 2 for all games and have to play harder people? That cuts down on profit man.. bummer...

Or am i seeing this wrong?

WW's raning system is total crap. they USED to show players their rank number but they stopped doing that months, maybe even a year ago. so you guess is as good as mine as what you rank is. people usually go by what it says besides the daily delight tournaments. but you cant really go by that either.........sooo......yea >_>

That is indeed the CC/Bejeweled/Chuzzle champ, aka the greatest swap 3 player of all time.

I just go by the Daily Delight ranking, and then figure out if I'm in the lower or higher tier for that ranking. In Bejeweled, there's 2 tiers of each rank (low/medium/high/highest) and in Scrabble there seems to be 1 tier of each of their ranks (low/medium/high). If that doesn't make sense, let me know..

To answer your initial question, the "level" has nothing to do with rank. You can be level 95 and be the lowest-ranked player in Scrabble Cubes, for instance.

The level is just like a show-off tally of victories, it has NO WEIGHT AT ALL on your rank.

Seems like a pretty crappy way of doing it. People like to know exactly where they stand and measure themselves up against other players.

    Default Well

As others have said, you can tell if you're in the middle, higher, or highest (or low) ranks by the indicator next to the Daily Delight for the game being played (provided that game has a daily delight.)

They used to show the exact ranking number (Although it's not a direct rank-- that is, having a rank of 2500 doesn't mean that you're the 2,500'th lowest or highest ranked, but rather it's an indicator of your skill to pair you with people similarly ranked.) The result is still the same, but they've merely hid the ranking from players since there was a problem with players manipulating their ranks when they knew what the exact number is (For instance, sand-bagging a rank from 2,100 to 1,900 to play in the middle-ranks high-dollar games or specials.1)

couldnt you just manipulate your rank with King as well, by entering tournaments and losing on purpose?

    Default Yes

But King's system is more linear, as far as I know. Losing on purpose would cost you more money than playing in the lower ranks can offer back.

Right, so that's where Worldwinner failed.. guess they should recreate their system.

What about th efact that worlwinner obviously pulls in mullions, where is the creativity like King's from their end? They dont act and they are gonna rolled over.
