Well just played today's $500 daily tournament for bejewled2 and managed to score 19131!. There was hyper gem after hyper gem, anyways - i get back to the leaderboard and my score is 1 with a little plus sign next to it. Stating that "WorldWinner has detected a game anomaly, and your game score may have been affected. Please click HERE for more details."

It gets worse!, i am now in the no mans land at the top. I managed to get to this on swap it years ago and was the one of the reasons I stopped playing. At the top I have no one to play as there are bugger all tournaments available. Is this the end of me on worldwinner now?

First of all, wow...19131 on Worldwinner...is that a record?

As far as I know, you'll eventually win the prize money but you should have been banned from playing any cash games until they can review your score. For winning the tournament, you will be stuck at the highest tiering for Bejeweled. You'll have to come up with a way to average 11k a game in order to win anything.

My average is much lower then 11k, before this i recall my previous highest score was 16k and the highest one before that was around 13k. Most times I only manage to score 5k - 8k.

So you say i am stuck there until the admins look at my score?. Maybe there is hope yet. The same thing happened to me on swapit years ago, maybe i can get shifted down ranks if i ask nice there too?. Will keep you posted.

Worldwinner's anomaly system is in place to help detect cheaters. When atrociously high scores come about, they'll null the score and block the player from continuing play, but only to investigate the matter and see if the score was achieved legitimately or not. If so, you'll resume play within 1-2 business days. If Worldwinner deems it illegit (don't worry, as long as you played legitimately they won't mistake it), then the player is banned.

It might seem unreasonable to block the player's gameplay for that time-- but consider it. If it were, in fact, a cheater, and Worldwinner carried out a 1-day investigation, that cheater would have ample time to screw over everyone.

As for the Bejeweled rankings, it's not as bad as Ikaruga makes it out to be. Even though there's "Higher" and "Highest" ranks, once you hit the highest ranks it doesn't automatically pit you with the likes of Gamergoddess the other top Bejeweled players. There are levels of sub-ranks, so unless you were already seeing the top Bejeweled players in your competitions, one fluke score won't change it too much.

Phew, so i just got to wait now. Shame there's a $2500 tournament I fancied a go at as well.

If only that score happened in that one . Reminds me, i shall be getting that screen shot up soon!.

marshallgirl got the highest in WW bejeweled with 20k

i got 19k twice and had to wait up to 2-3 days to get unbanned and have my account checked. once they checked that my scores were legit they unbanned me from bejeweled and gave me the winnings i WOULDVE gotten with that score. so you mean yesterday's daily this happened right? i got creditted for second. wef got creditted for first. and you will receive an email from fairness saying "you account has been checked and you were given the payout for that tournament. 85 dollars has been acreditted to your account"

any score of 1 means that play got a game anomaly. then they immediately ban your account afterwards until they check it out. although for some reason they dont ban certain players for getting a game anomaly. *shrugs*

now if you got that 19k in the 2500 dollar tournament. after they checked your account they WOULD post your score of 19k. since the tournament lasts 5 days.

Panic over, Been reviewed and I have all my games back now. However, I got awarded the $85 for 1st place too, so i am dead happy. Only bad thing I can say is that the help system on there website has no mention of this, only leaves you to ponder what just happened.
