June's 10% discount on King

Hey guys -- I've played like $100+ in cash games already in June on King.com, and the display bar has moved like 1/16 of an inch. This is despite the fact that many of those games have already closed. Anyone else getting anything odd? I am wondering if King is making it harder to get the 5% and 10% discounts, or if there's just some lag going on in terms of computing recently played games.

I've blown about $30 today so far and the bar has barely moved. I remember it only used to take only about $50 to achieve the silver discount. :/

well, there are different ways to get the discount and the bar only displays one way. i actually got the 10% two months ago without the bar reaching the end.

i only played like 2 72cent money games today. but my discount bar actually went up by a lot. it's probably from the games that have errors and i got refunds for. i got a good chunk of game refunds this week.

i'm thinking that they probably weight it somehow based on win / loss. the bar probably go up faster if you lose games than if you win. their thinking is probably that those who wins will play regardless, but those who lose needs the incentive to play more.

king wouldn't reveal the "different ways" to get the 10% discount citing potential abuse and they seem to be changing it each month so it's pretty much luck. but i think for the 5%, there is only one way based on player's spending, which i think has been left constant in the last few months, though i don't know if the 5% is changed this month.

Yeah, this isn't looking good... I've played easily $200 and the bar is going nowhere. Literally maybe 1/16th of an inch still. Interesting.

yea whats up with king lately. it takes like 1000 dollars to get the 10%. i think that is so unfair. they keep changing it and making it harder.

can a person go solely for awards and diplomas @ king and not for money? king seems to get mad when you dont go for money. *shrugs*

I think we can forget the 10% discount...It seems to be nearly impossible to get,,so king really don´t want us to have it...I think..

Hey everyone, while I can't comment personally about the King Discount meter as I'm hardly playing at King right now, I did just read the Fool's blog today and there is mention that there have been issues with people not getting their June discount due to a system problem. Maybe this is affecting the accrual of the discount as well. Maybe some hope that King hasn't gone hardcore on the 10% discount

my discount bar SOARED ahead today... I'm almost 3/4 of the way to the 10% mark, way past the 5% mark... must've been something wrong with their system yesterday.
