Yeah, you could debate false advertising about that. However, what you see there has been King's common practice for every regular cup or royal cup for the last two years at least. It's just like in their Royal Cups, that advertise $68812.80 for Graceful Jewels, but the most that the ultimate winner gets is a total of $2127.93. It could be seen as misleading, but at least they do show the actual total prize you will win in the table to the right when you get the Game Entry Confirmation screen.
That's not the prize for first place; That's the total amount of prizes given out.
$0.71*8 + $1.43*4 + $1.92*2 + $3.84*1 = Total prize, or something like that. At least, I think that's how it works.

Yeah Johan, that's the calculation. I meant to say something to that effect in my first post.
Does that guy on the right have semen on his forehead? Or what is that supposed to be? It's dripping onto his moustache...
Also, the calculations add up to $19.08, which I assume is close enough, but I wonder why it says $19.20. Perhaps there are some partial-value cents in there? Like the prize for the first round is actually $0.714, or something? Worldwinner does that sometimes, I'm not sure about King.

For the first question, I think it's supposed to be "egg in the face." I'd have to look at the avatar options to see the actual name, but I guess it could also be "semen in the face"
And yes, the difference is in partial cents. With the base King currency being Euros, it is often necessary for half cents in US$ since all prizes in Euros are full cents. While you never see the half cent in you account balance, it is tracked as by the system and if you paid close enough attention to your balance and the math in your account statement, you would find extra pennies every now and then, just depending on what the entry fee was and so on.
Side note: The half cent issue first came up when the currency conversion was changed from $1.20US = 1 Euro to $1.30 US = 1 Euro, and the British Pound conversion was also changed at that time with a similar result. This sent dark_dwaggie into a tirade on the Fool's Blog whining and demanding that King keep track of that half cent. His arguement was that rather than breaking even if you win 2 and lose 1 (same entry fee, game type), you would now actually lose money if that happened. King soon began tracking the half cent as a result.
yeah i agree with the posts above that it will be something to do with partial cents being added to the total - or something to do with the fee's that they charge.
