How is everyone doing in Puzzle Mana nowadays? I'm ranked in the high 3's and I've been able to pretty much outlcass the majority of players I face in cup tournaments. Scoring 500k-700k is my average, depending on the layout...and as of late I'm able to finish all 5 levels more often.

This game really is all about trying to match 5s as often as you can. It's the only way the board can move fast enough to generate lots of combos and score points. Other than not letting the skull'ed pieces count down to 0, the other most important thing in scoring high is not allowing yourself to play slow or stall trying to find a combination. Fast play + matching 5s = easy win over any 3000ish ranked player.

Wow. I don't know how I played on King for so many years and never found this site.

Puzzle Mana was pretty profitable for me. I was terrible at first, but I quickly learned to prioritise the 5s and my scores shot up. I spammed the cups, earned about £500, and now my rank is too high to really guarantee a good return. Still, it's better than I expected. I was atrocious at Chuzzle!

I usually get beween 550k and 750k, and once won the top progressive prize of a few hundred pounds with around 900k (in spite of the bug which meant the end of level combo didn't work properly! I'd have been so angry if someone had overtaken me because of a bug!)

But I've NEVER finished the whole game. I've killed the last monster with 0:00 on the timer, but that doesn't seem to trigger the final combo.

How regularly do people kill all five monsters?

Hey Rich, welcome to the forums! For me, killing all five monsters takes a little luck along with constantly matching 5s & getting long chains. I can think of many instances where I played well and didn't stall trying to match a piece, but still wasn't able to beat the 5th level. If you have 40-50 seconds left by the time you start level 5, it can be done.

Thankfully, I don't think many people beat all 5 levels frequently either...or else I'd always be losing games

It would be awesome if you started posting here. You're a very familiar name from over the years.

I don't finish the game very often. But finishing the game doesn't necessarily mean a better score. I've scored 800k without finishing level 5, and I've finished the game with a score below 600k.

As for your other question - I think I'm getting into this game. I rarely score below 600k, and often in the 700-800's. Except when playing the progressives, of course ...

But now I just noticed the royal and hope that luck will be on my (and yours, of course ) side. :0)
