Strategery Question!!

I noticed in a couple of the Mystery P.I. progressives that this one REAL good person "gime05", I think is the screen name, will play and score a 0. There's NO WAY this guy/girl would ever a score a 0, with 2,588 as their top 10 scores! I think their cash rating is like 1,600.

Is there any advantage to wasting your money to get your rating down, when there's probably no way WW would probably let into a lower-ranked tournament with a track record like that?

Do they eventually replay and put up a great score? If so my guess is they simply open the game and study the scene 1 time. Then when they replay it, they replay for real and put up a nice score.

probably not. or there is some bug in the algorithm that we're not figuring out.

No, that's the thing! They basically just throw the game! Did it yesterday too. They entered the progressive, got a 0 score, and didn't play again.

Even if they were having computer problems (glitch, crash, or whatever), someone who has 10 - 2,588 high scores sure wouldn't hesitate to try again. They played the special Monday freeplay and was in 1st place last time I checked last night!

I just don't see how deliberately wasting your money to keep your rating down could actually help them at this point? Unless they think they can attract some easy mark challenges from the unexpecting/gullible lower-ranked players by having a low cash score average.

I can't believe WW would let you play at a lower level once you've been trouncing 99.99% of every player on the site!
