Sigh. Wouldn't you know it? I FINALLY hit the mark on WW Bejewelled by achieving a (for me) completely unheard of score of 10K+ (when I first started this was the kind of score I used to think meant that certainly someone MUST be cheating) that puts me in slot #18 of 6901 players currently. And I happen to get my all time high score on a free play, which never happens, and STILL don't get even a tiny little prize for that since the jackpot is divided heavily into the first dozen places. That's discouraging enough for me to seriously consider packing it in and quit wasting my time and money on this stuff. It's never been profitable overall, but at least it was kinda fun. That just took the wind out of my sails though, to the point where I am kinda starting to see this as maybe not worth the nickle and diming to death I'm getting - ONE THIRD of the whole prize pool to first place? REALLY?

For those of us who don't make a living off skill games...in the end, it is about having fun and spending time with games you like to play. That said, games like Bejeweled on WorldWinner are way too thick with good players to make consistent earnings from. Perhaps you can have a lucky go at King and find games you'll enjoy (Candy Crush, Midas Speed, etc), and win some money there.

I've never managed a freeroll score at WorldWinner either. To be honest, the game selection and the way rankings work site just confuses me, or maybe I'm just dumb. Either way, I much prefer King, and at least there a third of the field will get something from freerolls (discounting the spinner debacle). The Christmas ones are pretty decent this year and since it's split pot rankings (at least it seems like it is), chances are you can make a dollar or two.

And King's games are just more fun. I look forward to their version of Mahjong Dimensions which is coming this month. I hope it's not as easy as the WW one.

Ha! funny you should mention M. Dimensions... It was actually the MD ladder which had me hoping to place in the free play just high enough to pay my stake in a ladder challenge since I only have 80 cents left in my account and don't want to top it up right now, but I might be able to claw my way into the top 50 spots at MD since I'm in the top 100 now (I'd meant to use 50cents of what I had left to play another shot at the seeding, but I fell asleep and forgot till it was too late.) SO frustrating because on a regular freeplay they pay out the top 50 spots and I was well into that with #18. On the $250 freeplay the #1 spot only gets 10 bucks, so it was just baffling why the ONE time I am ever likely to get a score that high, they pay out 50% to spots 1 and 2 and only a total of 12 places. If I had hit that score on regular freeplay (as opposed to the VIP one for $150 I would at least have made enough to take a shot at a head to head game to play for that stake at the ladder challenge. Now I'm just stuck with 80 cents of useless and forfeiting challenges until I can deposit again... by which time I'll be at the bottom of the ladder - DOH! Oh well... i just hate having ALMOST enough to play a game but have to depost 10 x that when I'm only 8 cents short.... JUst not having great luck lately . I'm beginning to realize skill has little to do with it. I'll just have to stick with facebook funny money on king instead of playing for cash...
