Thread: What happened to the top 500 payout structure?

Default What happened to the top 500 payout structure?

I thought that they were going to extend the vip spinner payouts to the top 500 scores instead of 200 to ameliorate some of the grumbling about the astronomical odds of actually winning anything? All the ones I've seen are still the top 200 winners and I am woefully far from being able to match their scores.

I have to say, even after taking one prize portion of a 4.20 African Rainmaker tourney I STILL hate the new setup. Even the games I am reasonably good at are impossible to place in high enough to get paid - I've just turned in my best score ever on an Aztec Drop game only to find myself a good 6 or 7 HUNDRED slots out of contention, and at 4.20 per entry, I can't afford to take a second shot at it unless the spinner comes up with it again before the end of the tournament. I turned in the 3 most perfect games of Animal Parade I was ever going to play in my life and still fell short of the top slots even though there was a very small difference in actual score. I doubt I could have acheived that without protractors rulers and some far more precise mousing capability than I already have to literally calculate shortest distance and ensure my lines were exactly straight.

This uppermost level of VIP has actually done nothing for me except cost me more money given that I did try to learn from the free attempt to play again a few times only to realize it was likely impossible for me to do any better than I already had when I got the same score. It shouldn't take a perfect game to win if it is to feel like some kind of reward instead of a punishment. I really long for the days of being able to win 70 cents here and there and also try new games that I hadn't played before. I actually would even prefer that the spinner was the BASIC one for me as opposed to the Diamond level since I could at least afford to put a couple more tries into a tournament that I could ALMOST place in on the first attempt. (And really the payout potential of the 2.80 entry fee isn't even worth the expense even if I was close enough that one or two more tries might make the difference.) It also stands to reason that the competition might be stiffer at the Diamond level too, making it that much more UNlikely for me to make something useful of it. I would rather a daily 70 cent entry that I might win than a daily 2.80 that I haven't a prayer for.

This is stupid, I know, and no one here can do anything about it anyway, but I just needed to vent a little. This VIP spinner is real daily sore spot for me and has really taken some of the casual joy away from how I used to play at King.com. I know most of you here like it, but I will just never be good enough to really appreciate it so I find it more a daily insult than a thank you for spending my money. I shouldn't take it so personally, but I can't help it that I feel more resentment than relaxation now at King, and I used to really enjoy the fun of it. If the castle building part of it hadn't ended being something that I enjoy looking at and playing with, I'd actually have closed the account to avoid the temptation of entereing the higher dollar VIP tourneys on my own dime already. I can honestly say that the stupid castle part is the only reason I stay. How sad is that?

I haven't won a single cent from the free rolls since the payout structure deviated away from the top 500 scores. I don't even know why I'm blowing money on entry fees to keep my Diamond status when I don't spin the wheel anymore.

I got a ton of free money because I can't play card games here in MI, so you could just click on a card game for your freeroll and take the cash instead. They closed that loophole a while back, and that ended my gravy train. Now I have a shot at winning my first $ from the freeroll spinner post-loophole-closure if my 280K Farm King $14 spin can hang on in the top 25. It'll be close.

They are really good for me cause almost all the games I excel at have one, so it's easy for me to place in the money even if I pay the entry fee. But I realize it's very lame that this is lucrative only for the best players, and everyone else gets zilch. Their bonus system went from awesome (10% entry fee discount) to alright (free game a day) to catering to the elite.

But you know, it still is a bonus system. There was a time when there wasn't anything at all. No daily freeroll, no daily spinner. So right now it still is better than it once was.

    Default spinner platinum v diamond?

So what's the difference between the platinum v diamond spinner? do you get access to different vip tournaments? I gather there is a higher $$ spot on the spinner.

right now I can make a little money in a couple of games off the spinner, so I kinda like it! but if I go to diamond does it get harder or do the games change up or something? right now I'm about 86% of the way to diamond.. can anybody clue me in?

I just got 1800 place in a 3$ tourney with a 600 prize pool (that would make it a .33$ tourney!!!), cmon king, pls fuck off! This is just ridiculous. The spinner is absolute bs!

Other than the intitial bucketload of free money that msufan was talking about, I think I've only made the money 1 time through the spinner.

What really bugs me is that even though some of the games that I'm really good at have the $4.2 top winner tourney, they never show up in the spinner option on the rare occasion that I win a $4.2 spin. Instead it's the same lame games, usually with one or two games that I can't play, since I can't play card or rolling ball games.

King has stated that they are sticking with this kind of a bonus system, so what I think is the only way to make it a little more playable for people would be to collect TWT tickets based on the spin, which can then be played in the TWT of someone's choice. At least that way we can play in the games that we're actually good at, as opposed to the few games that get pushed in our face.

I will say I am getting at least somewhat functional in Animal Parade and Aztec Drop as a result of the freeroll spinner jamming those games in my face each day. Still haven't won $$$ from either game yet, but I'm getting closer.

ah yes, but you see the bonus system is exactly what is killing me! Without the daily draw of the potential game I might win, I would have no reason at all to visit so much and get frustrated! I would be less irked if this system had been in place before the daily free spin temptation drew me in to try for the diamond VIP level - I figured a daily 70 cent game was worth it because if I won I could play another or two - maybe get some chump change back here and there. I had made the basic VIP level and was enjoying the 5 free spins a month so much that I would have liked to have them daily for a year. Of course as soon as I made the diamond level, they changed the game on me and altered the spinner functionality. Being a VIP at this point is just causing me to spend more money that I probably shouldn't, which means the bonus is all for King, not me.
