I'm not sure how it affects game selection (other than whether there are the higher dollar tournaments available in that game at all) but from my experience the spinner values increased with each level. From the gold spinner I used to get mostly 70 cent values with the high dollar amount being 2.80 on the wheel and a few 1.40's, platinum seems to be 1.40 's as the low and 4.20 the high, and on the diamond spinner 2.80 is the minimum while the high is a $14.00 tourney. (I have no idea what games are offered here, since I haven't seen one of these yet).
What I find even more irritating is that this means if I want to actually pay for another entry in a tourney that I may have learned a bit from the first free entry, it will cost me a minimum of 2.80 which is more than I care to put out for the paltry return on the investment even when I do qualify for a prize! I would prefer at least a daily freebie into the 70 cent pools! It seems like the payout is better and I could afford to enter again to qualify. In that way its almost like they are squeezing the high dollar customers even more since they only reward a small handful.
I am thinking I may have to close my account to avoid the temptation, but, as I said, the only thing from preventing me from doing so is the castle I've built. That should be some indication of how rewarded I feel, when I would rather abandon my VIP status than the ridiculous window dressing! The games are starting to feel like cheap imitations of the popular ones on WW or variations on a theme, so there are only a few that I really like at King now that bejewelled is gone. I think I'd only miss Crescendo Catcher, really. My Farm King obsession has finally expired for some reason.
