Well, I do notice that pages are loading faster, at least for me. I suppose the update was done in part for optimization.

hopefully it is part of a promo -- they are doing a breast cancer benefit tourney or something like that, so I suspect it won't be permanent

Wouldn't say I have anything against the new layout. Although I had nothing against the old one either
