My top score is 18311, but I rarely get over 16k these days.

As for tips, there's really not that much strategy, it's more speed than anything. Just obvious things like prioritize removing tiles that free up other tiles. Also what I do is look at one "set" of tiles at a time (circles/bars/Chinese character thingies/directions/pictures). And in level 2 I tend to shuffle if I can't cut into the middle pile right away. Levels 3 (and 5 if you can get there) you have to focus on the middle and the sides.
