Thread: Candy Crush

    Default Candy Crush

I just played two rounds of "Candy Crush" which is a switching game that was suddenly there, then suddenly gone.

Anyone else got a chance to try it out? I suspect it's a to-be-released-soon game that peaked out a bit too early?

Hmm interesting. Did you enjoy it?

I didn't even get to see the game on my front page. Did it seem like King's answer to the lack of a BJ2?

Now, I only played it twice and didn't think that I was going to review it. :0)

But it does look promising. The game field is larger than the BJ2, I think - but it's similar in the sense that matching 4's and 5's produces special candy pieces (now they want to make us think of getting fat rather than getting rich ).

There's also a Bejeweled Blitz-sort-of piece which is produced when creating a T or L-shape (isn't that what they're called?)

I'm pretty sure that it's their Bejeweled 2-substitute, and it may be even better, I think. I suspect that I'll be enjoying it more than I did BJ2.

Oh ... there's a "last hurrah" kind of finale to this game as well. But as for how scoring works, I have no clue. As mentioned, I just played two rounds of free plays. The free tournament was the only type available, and I couldn't load the game rules page. That's why I figured that it got published by accident when it disappeared after a short period.

Am looking forward to having it back.

Oh btw. I took a screenshot of my profile area where it lists recently played games. Not that you get much of a clue, but then you can see that it was actually there.

Not sure if I like the huge game field. Don't like the theme. But it seems fun.

I know that casual games need to appeal to the female demographic and everything, but c'mon...that game reeks of estrogen.

So instead of candy it should be piece of crack? LOL
