Any tips for Crescendo Tempo?
Anyone out of the RC want to give away any tips?
Or even if you're still in?
I average about 180k or so, have had over 200k a fair few times, but can't see how I can score much more than 250k.
Those good games, I reach level 5 by 1/3 into the game by getting a crescendo match at the start of level 4.
I still have yet to reach level 8 although I've come close.

You really just have to be fast enough to keep the cascade going. It's so much like Twist Me Silly. If you can control the Super Crescendo you should use it to skip the smaller sized levels because it's much harder to keep a cascade active in those.
Reaching high levels doesn't do that much for your score, so don't approach it like Chuzzle. Just focus on getting the most out of a level by never letting the board "die".

I am still struggling to figure out how to improve my skills in this game. But speed is obviously important - making moves all the time.
I usually keep an eye out for the "line blasts" (don't remember what they're actually called), and detonating these as soon as I can, because that helps keeping the board moving at more spaces than you can actually make moves yourself.
Also, I try to play "horizontally" - making moves from left to right - or vice versa. That way, I don't have to overview the entire playing area, but just move a bit to the right or left of where I made the last move, and make the next possible move.
Matching a lot at the same time is also important since that's increase the chance of good combos as well as more "specials" (I should really get familiar with the real words for these, sorry).
All this said, my average lies around the same as CreepyD, but my highscore is 280k and scores above 250k does happen from time to time. :0)
If anyone could tell me that "it is better to ... than", I'd obviously be happy.

I agree Kworb, after some time I realised when I only got to level 6, but had over 250k. I had managed to keep the combo's going in that go.
Nice tips in this thread.
