"Also when you play jackpot tournaments, and you enter more than once, it looks like they actually average your scores--totally whacked!"

In fact they do count the the average of the best 5 trys which guarantees that the player's skill is more relevant for the final result of the jackpot. If it happens that you reach an immense score by luck you might still loose against those players who are really skilled!

Superstar is still online, you have to use the following link (includes games for betatesters):

    Funwin

And no its no scam at all - I've been a (skill-)game tester for over 5 years. Also I received my withdrawal within 7 days (EU bank account).

Hey Skillgaming.De (Do you have a first name I can call you by?),

Is this your site? If so, your site looks great, and it's good to see more skill gaming portals come up in our niche...what do you think differentiates your site from the big players like WorldWinner & King? What're the selling points of your site?

Shoot me a PM if you're interested in advertising Funwin through Cashgamers and we can work something out....thanks!

P.S: Guys, I am fairly certain that Funwin isn't a scam. It's run by the same person who operates http://www.skillgaming.de, which has been a long-time blog chronicling the skill gaming industry in the European market. I've worked with him a couple times in the past as well, he's a good guy.

You can all call me Robert In fact I am not working for Funwin itself, but at the moment I try to help and promote them as they are a 100% safe skillgaming websites with a huge company behind them. And of course I know the team very well!

The special thing about Funwin is that all games are very easy to learn and quite simple. Another major aspect is that all games are perfectly playable via touchscreen. That's also why you won't find a version of Tetris/Startris on this new promising platform as the controls would be to complex

The best 2 new platforms of the last years which are also available in german were Gimigames and now Funwin. I also signed up @skilladdiction some weeks ago, but right now I am very busy with my blog. I want to promote it with the start of 2011. I'll send a PM to you later! Thanks for your post

@Bug: You are right, sorry. There seems to be a problem with the availability of fun money because of the huge christmas update. Tomorrow (today) it should work again!

The only thing this tactic assures is that a player must repeatedly enter the jackpot tournament in order to have a competitive final score. That's totally whacked because you’re reducing your profits with each entry. And as far as I can tell, those jackpot tournaments are open to all skill levels so the only incentive a less skilled player might have to enter it would be getting a lucky score--which isn't a bad reason to enter a tournament. The way its set up now the only players they are intended for are the highest ranked ones.

The only thing I can discern about these jackpot tournaments is that averaging scores with multiple entries could be a way to deter cheating sine you would have to enter it five times at least. Beyond that it's just a way to ensure funwin's 20% cut on those tournaments is decent.

And again, the games aren’t bad but I still think the method in which withdrawals are made isn’t that reassuring. Maybe because I’m a US player and its just not something I’m accustomed to doing—entering all my bank details but if there is another US player who safely received the funds and wants to assure me it’s all good, then please speak up.

@theartsyone: I think you are completely right with your point of view regarding the jackpot mechanism. The entry fee should already include FIVE and not just ONE game. Good point!

I' ve already sent this threads URL to Funwin so they will most likely read all of your posts. And even if not then at least I will send them the feedback. Please feel free to let them know all the other things you (don't) like as well

You could deposit via paypal, but withdrawals had to be to a bank account in Europe with IBAN and BIC numbers, something you can't do for US accounts. Correct me if I'm wrong.
After reading this comment I realized that the bank information requested for withdrawls includes:

    1.Bank name
    2.Account holder
    3.Bank code
    4.Account number
    5.BIC
    6.IBAN

I know what 1,2 and 4 are but I've no idea what the others are for so I'm wondering if this site can be used by a US player--And after a quick scan of some of the users, I haven't seen anyone from the US. Hmm, guess this probably just a European site--phooey! I was really getting into playing word shuttle.

A withdrawal solely via a bank account wire transfer isn't going to get the site over for the US crowd. That's not good to hear...

3: (At least in europe) Every bank has its own number and validates the bank name. In combination with the account number it gets unique.
5:BIC: EU-version of the bank code
6:IBAN: EU-version of the account number

You are right it's just possible to pay out with an existing (EU) bank data so you should use online bank account. But yes it seems to be too complicated for now. Sorry
