anyone play this yet? Any strategies? I usually despise games like this but the whole "chance" section at the bottom gives me hope. lol

I like the game but I need a better strategy.I guess ideally you would clear most of the field and then build up a whole bunch of 2-in-a-row bubbles so you can create a huge chain without much risk of it getting broken. But it's tough to be fast and accurate enough.
When I hit over 200k and got 3rd on the progressive yesterday, while I would love to say it was total skill sadly wasn't. But I did figure out a couple of things.
Basically if you get a green one that makes the balls divide, you want to drop down a large group over it asap. Usually there will be a lot of yellow that double whatever it is they double nearby.
But since you can't control where the bubbles form or where a certain one will appear or really exactly how they will bounce, there is a whole lot of luck but probably not as much as scoring 2 million on african rainmaker. Maybe there is and I just got lucky. Who knows. lol.
Usually though the best strategy seems to be to clear out however many from the top row so that the whole motherload drops at once. I'm not really sure how good my strategy really is though. Other then my progressive win I think I won a total profit of like $5 on 15 cups.
I need to stop ranking out of these new games so early.I had never done it before this year, now it won't stop. It's lonely.

I'm pretty much done now. Stupidly I entered the big .45p progressive and got 10th spot on my first go with 188k :[
Made some decent profit at least.
Anyways, what I do is fire the first 10 shots or so to quickly make loads of matches possible, making sure that to the left and right the will be plenty similar colours together ready to be made into 3's.
Then I quickly fire all these away and just hope that it holds until you reach the top.
The highest scores definitely come from the green ones, but it's almost impossible to plan to get one and then shower a whole load of balls down.
Round 2 I just try to keep my multiplier going from level 1.
I think overall it's not too luck based, but it's certainly not all skill either.
Good luck in the RC, I made round 4 and that's it, just WAY too much luck involved even with the right tactics!!
There's a vid on YouTube which proves it, the guy gets 250k..
Over 100k on level 1 is from about 3 balls which just happen to drop on green spiders in the right way. Try all you want, this is pure luck.

any additional tips? My rank is not even 2000 and I've got to be able to make some profit out of this game somehow!
The strategy I use these days is first set up the board a bit to make lots of 2-combinations at the bottom. So if there's 1 red somewhere, add another, etc. You can also clear tiny parts of the board and fill them back up with 2-combinations. I try not to spend too much time molding the board like this but I can get carried away; which is the only way to really get a sub-100k score (running out of time). Also, don't fill the whole "empty" space up completely; there is an invisible border that you can't go under and you need room to get the first shots in.
Anyway, after that I really start clearing the level. The point is to get a chain long enough to get ten yellows and/or green spider thingies. When the bottom looks nice and crowded, look for shots that will drop bubbles onto them. With some layouts it's obvious that you can drop the whole middle portion with one or two shots, but where that's not possible it's better to clear through the middle and then try and drop part of the sides. Also pay attention to the top row and clear enough of it as soon as possible to end the level.
How to start level 2 depends on the amount of spiders at the bottom after level 1, and also if you can easily continue the chain with the layout given. If prospects look bad and I have enough time, I just approach it the same way as level 1. Else I start clearing right away, always looking to maximize the number of bubbles dropped (while keeping the chain alive).
I usually get over 150k with this strategy regardless of the level layouts. Of course you need some luck that you get the right colors at the right time and that the bubbles bounce around a lot, but I do think skill is very important as well.

My average score ranges from 110k to 170k and I did very well leading up to a 3,000 rank. Easy money maker if you know how to play bubble games..

My strategy was exactly identical to you Kworb
Didn't enjoy this game much though.
