live tonight: -$100, played badly, left early
online tonight: +$100, played badly, won a KK>AA hand where I was only 1.72% to win after an A 10 8 flop; decided to cash out $100 since it was a miracle I had it (I went from $1.12 ---> $118 today through a lot of luck; now I'll have $18 in my account to try to do it again. I only count this as $100 profit b/c I only count it when I actually withdraw it.)
So now:
Live play = +$2047
Online = +$375
still +$2422 overall for the year

Amazing run continues. Won that $18 into $129. Am cashing out $100 because otherwise I'll throw all $129 on the table or into a big tourney, which would not be wise. $29 left to try to grind up to another $100+. (You can only withdraw $100+ at a time.)
Live play = +$2047
Online = +$475
now +$2522 overall for the year

Nicely done. Online games inevitably turn out to be a crapshoot. I'm not surprised you do so much better in the live games.
Out of curiosity, where do you play online. I used to play at FullTilt years ago, but last time I checked, the withdraw options are very limited. Do you opt for a physical check and then cash it. Since the UIGEA, it's just became such a PITA to deposit and withdraw for Hold-em.

Live is SO much easier than online nowadays. I wish I could go back to 2004 or so and play online back then when people were so incredibly bad.
I play on Full Tilt and get a physical check. Their deposit system is basically an echeck right from my bank account, which is pretty friendly.

Yeah 2004 would be nice. Now the diminished deposit/withdraw options coupled with the fact that all the Chris Moneymaker wannabes have either lost all their money or moved on since all the Hold'em hype has died down just leaves mostly skilled Hold'em players online.

I am debating spending $89 for a HUD (Stattracking software) like Hold 'Em manager. Hard to invest so much when I win so little... but maybe it would more than pay for itself... hmmmmm

tonight's profit = $100 exactly, but I went home completely on tilt because, for the first time ever, I folded KK preflop. I was playing against someone I've played against many times before, and she is very tight and always has a good hand when she raises. So she raises to $12, I re-pop it to $37, and she goes all in for $198. I couldn't put her on anything but pocket aces, so I folded.
She didn't show her cards, but later said she had aces. I'll never know for sure. But it was SICK folding pocket kings preflop. SICK SICK SICK... I had to leave after that because I was on tilt so bad.
Either I'm an idiot or I'm a genius... tough to know for sure.
Still, the new and improved totals are:
Live: +$2147
Online: +$475 (my $10 is back up to $20 as I try to win it up to something withdrawable)
Total for 2010: +$2622
