Default Pretty new to skill gaming and I got some questions

    Hey,

I started playing skill games a couple of months ago for some extra income and it's been a fun ride so far. I've been trying to figure out some things, but there is alot of stuff I can't find. Here are some of my questions

    - Is there a list of skill gaming site with a decent amount of players? Only site I liked so far was king.com. I tryed skilladdiction, but games take ages to fill up. I also played on worldwinner, but I can't seem to win money there, not sure why.

    - Anyone know a site where you can play tetris (or anything that resembles tetris) for money?

    - If I withdraw money from king.com, will my ranking for the games get boosted? I noticed that they boosted my ranking for every game I had played after they blocked and than confirmed my account.

    - How many royal cups does king.com run / month? Does it cycle tru all the games or is it just a random game that get's picked? How long does it take on average between 2 royal cups in the same game? And is there a list with royal cups that have been completed and/or are upcoming?

I probably got alot more questions, but can't think of any at the moment.
Thanks in advance for helping me out.

I think those are the main three, well dukesbox I think is still around too, just haven't played on that forever. The reason you probably don't win at worldwinner is because they don't do ranking like king, they compute it based on how much you win. So if you are good at a new game and win a couple then suddenly you are playing against the best person on the site.

I have no idea if your ranking will get boosted, I am lucky enough (so far) that king has not randomly decided to jack up my ranking in anything or even needed ID. Not sure if it was because my first withdraw was only $200 or because I was silver for over a year.

Was told that king has been averaging 3 royal cups a week so far this year, with about half of those being in the new games. Usually anywhere from a week to three weeks after a new game comes out comes the cup. If I remember correctly around the summer (king's anniversary) they release about 4 or 5 in the same week.

There is no rhyme or reason as to the other royal cups and the times they are released. Generally speaking if a game is more popular there usually (but not always) is one royal cup every year. If you are waiting for something like a chain reaction cup don't hold your breathe.

Recently completed royal cups you can view after hitting the community tab and then the list is on the left. You won't be able to see ones that are closed but still going (like love me or love me not) but the rest you can see from the QFs onward.

    Hope this all helps.

Check out SkillAddiction more and more, especially if you are a new player, the tournament shouldn't take long to close - with over $100,000 awarded to players, shouldn't be too hard to get some of that cash in your pocket

I'm not too sure about the Royal Cup figures though. King doesn't have a calendar for those, bt jsro is right for the most part - new games get one relatively quickly. I've noticed about 1-2 a month (King released a new game every month).

To answer your question about withdrawals and having your rank boosted -- yes, it's happened to me before. There's nothing you can really do about this, other than taking a slight cut of your profits and intentionally scoring low to drop your rank. If you're not particularly high ranked, you're probably just better off improving your gameplay so that you can contend with those higher up the ladder than you.

I guess there is something in their terms that says they can raise your rank artificially?
Isn't that going against the code of the site, and essentially 'cheating' you out of future winnings?
I don't think I've ever had it done, but I did wonder about a certain game the other day, thinking 'I don't remember my rank being that high'.

I should add, since King got so popular, and games started adding more luck into them gradually, it's very hard to get decent cash from Royal Cup's these days due to the sheer number of skilled players.
New games also never have Royal Cups anymore until they are around 1 month old, so everyone has learned the game by then, further decreasing your winning chances.

Don't be discouraged though, there is still a LOT of cash to be had with some skill and clever play.

The closest I've seen to Tetris (and it's nowhere near close, but has the square-block-puzzle feel to it) is Monopoly Downtown at WW.

But Startris winning strategy is completely different and for me not as fun as normal Tetris.

I tried startris the other day and hated it. I'ld like the game if the controls/game play weren't so slow and inaccurate. And some speed bonuses
