I'm looking for tips
What do you do when you reach a certain point in your skill playing where you are good, not great but yet don't suck but when you advance to the next level and all of a sudden you are the bottom of the barrel of that level? I know practice but on king.com I know the people you go up against in the free games versus playing for cash are completely different so you just never know when you are good enough to start up with that cash games again.
Like in Crescendo Catch I just upped a level to 3100 rank and I suck all of a sudden. How do you guys all get so good at your games? Another one I have topped in is mahjong masquerade I'm in the 4000 rank, I lose against everyone now, I just don't stand a chance I am not quick enough to score anything over 5300 in a single game... so pretty much I have topped out in the game for myself..... so at this point I just stopped making money in that game for good right?
What tips and advice if any do you pro gamers have to share with me?
Thanks

I don't think this is going to be what you want to hear, but what I do is find a new game!
Google "Deliberate Practice". If you are maxed out and need to get better at a game, "Deliberate Practice" is what you're going to need to do. Yes, I read the book "Drive" recently...
good luck,
Don

New games are always a nice way to make some quick cash. Diversify your skill gaming communities too - Currently there is King, WorldWinner, Skill Addiction, Game Duell, Spootnic - there is a whole thread devoted to listing the sites out there. More communities = more money to be won.

That is actually what I have been doing and that is how I came across this site. I never played cresendo catcher up until about 3 days ago.... so I guess I was already doing what you pros do eh? Good to know.
and Thanks for the good luck!
Flig, I wouldn't mind joining another site but more than 3 I wouldn't be able to keep track of what is what anymore. I did join the SA site but just a tad confused by it right now so I haven't done more than just look click around a couple things did the treasure hunt (which has me confused too lol) and left

Don't confuse me for a pro! I think the true top gamers are so good they keep on winning on king until there are very very very few people that they get matched up with......... at that point the game is sorta dead to them unless a royal cup or something comes out in it.
King will tend to release 'new' games that are very similar in nature to 'old' ones. So if you are excellent at switching games, every couple of months king will give you a new one. So your rank starts over in that 'new' game and you can make some more money again.

Also wanted to know what is the best way to win when you think are "good enough" at a particular game would it be entering progressive jackpots, the cup tournaments, or just plain ole 1 on 1 matches?

Hopefully others will chime in, but what I would do is after winning my 5 provisional games, I'd hit the progressives every day until I'd be close to going up a level. I'd then open up as many cup games as I could if I was confident in my skill level that I would win them. After I went up a level I'd regroup and reevaluate my abilities against the higher rank competitors. If I was still good enough to win the progressives, I'd just keep entering those until I was ready to level up again. I'd then open up as many cup games as I could handle!
I'd play the old cup games I entered at the lower level as slowly as possible to minimize bumps in my skill ranking.
I'd keep repeating this until I was maxed out. I think in Monkey Quest I ended up opening something like 80 cup games on my way up the food chain. I was so sick of that game after I finished those cup games out! I was almost thankful when King jacked my skill ranking up in that game such that I didn't even think about opening more cups!

In one game I am on the verge on leveling up.... so if I open up lets say 3 cup games on it... every time I win a round in one particular cup game it will up my ranking? so lets say I up a level while still playing the cup games and 2 of them I haven't finished yet but I level up, will I still be able to finish those games??? hmmm Thanks for the input!
Thanks for the advice about the new games on king. I will keep that in mind!

When you are matched against an opponent and the cup game completes, at that point your skill ranking will adjust up or down depending on the result. I'd usually start going 'cup crazy' when I get to about 100 points from moving up a rank.
Usually after you open a couple of cups up you will not get matched against an opponent, and in fact those may hang out waiting for opponents for days, weeks, maybe months if it's not a popular game.
And it's been my experience that you are allowed to complete any remaining rounds in cups that you opened on lower skill rankings.

I know I must be getting annoying with questions by now, lol sorry... So is it worth attempting a royal cup when you aren't very good at a game? but probably better than the worst???
