actually after the Iraq invasion there was 5 years of growth in the economy. the last 2 years of Bush the congress was controlled by the democrats and they spent double what the republican controlled congress did. I believe the repubs were increasing the debt by 500 billion a year, whereas the democrat congress the last 2 years of Bush was increasing the debt by 1 trillion a year. nevertheless they are all scum in DC. I would like to start a political party called the proletariat party. to combat and eliminate the overindulgent DC bourgeoise.
I liked Clinton, but I wonder how much of the surplus was a result of an increase in capital gains taxes from the whole dot com boom.
