Default Whats going on?

New to this site, seems like it has some good reading.

I have been a player on King for a while (FOMDB is my username) I was a .40 cent crescendo progressive tournament, too bad it was only for 140.00 though.. but did pretty well in teh graceful jewels Royal cup. I have taken out quite a bit ( i think) from King.

Ive also played on Uvme, Gamesnroses, not a big fan of either. UVME.. ugh...
Gamesnroses has some upside to it, i suppose.

I havent played on worldwinner or dukesbox... any suggestions?

Hey Flignats, welcome to the forums! Glad to have you aboard.

Worldwinner has a lot of games similar to King.com's on its platform, and there's a lot more potential to win big bucks there...so definitely check it out and see if it's to your liking. Worldwinner is much, much bigger than all of the sites you had mentioned -- it's on the same level as King.

I suggest you wait for Dukebox's "official public release", when there will be a ton more players active on the site along with a few new cool games. Dukesbox has a ton of potential and the admin team is working their butts off to ensure a positive playing experience.

Yeah, I don't care what the folks over at forumvme say anymore...uVme is dead. With King and Worldwinner both releasing top notch games that have components similar to uVme's #1 game (Fruit Frenzy), uVme has received a stake in its heart.

Anyway, welcome to the forums and feel free to ask questions about any of the games! We've got enough players here to cover most of the games on both King.com and Worldwinner.

I'm going to have to check out Worldwinner then because once you get to a certain level on King's games you just dont want to play anymore until they come out with some Royal cups.

Know of any other skill gaming sites out there that are popping up? Seems like more are starting to show up in the industry.

Welcome Flignats. I'll second Ikaruga's comments. I agree gamesnroses is a decent site with potential. What's your name over there? Might have played you since I play a few of the games heavily. As you've said, uVme is UGH and I couldn't agree more.

My support for the up and coming is with Dukesbox. The site's been around for just 8 months and has improved massively from the initial offering. The developments that have been made over the past 8 months have been incredible for a 4-man team. Full launch is expected for the end of September.

Anyways, welcome to the community

Where do you live Flignats? If you're over in Europe, particularly Germany, there's at least 3 or 4 strictly Europe-based skill games sites. If you're in the US, I think Gameduell is probably the only other option not yet mentioned.

Oh you know what I've played on Gameduell as well, just forgot about it. To be honest, its one of the sites that gets more players, but I don't like it. What really turned me off is that they convert the money to their own dollars (weird..) AND even bigger turnoff... they don't allow you to withdraw your money until its above a certain balance..? Talk about a bad way to retain customers, its my money not theirs and they shouldnt restrict that. On that principle alone I stopped playing there.

I am in the US though and I know that skill gaming is a lot bigger in the UK, but the market as a whole is growing immensely so hopefully some new companies will begin to pop up.

FOMDB is my alias on King, but everywhere else I can be found as Flignats. Gamesnroses (I think it needs a better name..) has a couple decent games. I like Arctic Quest and Mahjong (everywhere has Mahjong)

So whats the deal with Dukesbox? I see they are ranked about 130,000 on Alexa, which means they are pulling in about....hmm....between 500-1000 people daily?

IMO I think some of the smaller sites should hook up together or help promote one another because King and Worldwinner OWN the market and there is a lot of market for the other guys to grab. One thing I've noticed is that people are looking for more places to play and that doesnt necessarily mean that King and the others lose a market share because people just want to play in more places.

Any thoughts?

I think Dukesbox is the only "small" skill gaming site that is actually taking things seriously...Gameduell gets a lot of traffic with its aggressive Google advertising, but I don't think players stick around...and GamesNRoses has been stagnant as of late with no new developments at all. If Dukesbox rolls out some more quality games and gets its platform ready for the big leagues, I think it has a chance at being at being just as popular as Gameduell, at the very minimum.

IMO, Dukesbox will do just fine...they haven't even really advertised yet, and getting traffic for a skill gaming website is pretty easy. Tons of ways to advertise...Google Adwords, forums, Youtube, having Ikaruga as an affiliate (), etc...

How do you guys feel about the smaller sites? Considering the management team and the company's policies, do you help promote them or are all of you like loyal to King, Worldwinner, and Dukesbox?

I think the more in the industry the better for everyone playing, but if they turn to policies like UvMe, then pfff... forget 'em

Anyone play at Gamarena.com? I can't play for cash bc I am in the Us, but that site is all flash and bells and nicely developer games, but a little different play style within the games than I am used to. It looks to have a lot of money backing and a lot of players on it playing too though.

I am willing to promote any site that is both taking itself seriously as both a business and a fun platform for gamers. I am always willing to cover new skill gaming websites on the front page of this site, and working as an affiliate for sites is something I enjoy.

I've promoted Dukesbox a bit in the past, I was promoting GamesNRoses while it was going strong, and I would have purchased a uVme .biz if the site lived up to 1/10th of its hype. Right now I promote King.com with no monetary reward being given to me at all (I can't get the CJ.com affiliate program to work for it), and I heavily promote Worldwinner since they actually pay out nicely.

Again, I'm personally willing to help promote any skill gaming site, so long as it's worth my time to promote, and worth other players' time to play on.

I agree, the business has to present itself as willing and worthy of the gamers they are seeking. This can be done in lots of ways, features, active managements, promotions, less fees, ect..

Any word on the Gamarena.com ?
