Has anyone ever tried this Virgin Gaming site out? I know it is not PC based skill gaming but rather XBox &PS platforms.

Most of the games are sports based but they did offer me $5 which would have covered one of their tournaments in particular, which was a cup style 8 player format.

Unfortunately I read my e-mail after it was too late and did not get to gamefly or the redbox in time to rent one of the games for my xbox. It definitely seems legitimate, you can see where to click and go within the xbox dashboard and within the game (at least NBA 2012 or whatever the NBA offering they had was).

It does not appear to have much of a player base and I'm not really all that great at sports games in general.

Virgin Gaming's cool. Fairly new company that works along with the EA Arena section in games like Madden 12, FIFA 12, etc. so it's def legit.

As for a player base, much like any online game, there's certain peak hours in the day that you'll likely find more matches. I've been playing on Virgin Gaming for a bit and I haven't had any problems finding people to play against on a popular game like FIFA 12 (which I think you should start playing as a stepping stone to other sports games).

They have a good selecton of cash tournaments that you can sign up for with a few bucks and larger ones with hefty cash prizes too.

On their site it says they're hosting a BF3 team tournament for cash sometime which I think is awesome. I'd assume they'd be looking to add games outside of the sports realm in the future.
