Default Graceful Jewels -- Strategy & Discussion

Since Graceful Jewels just came out, I thought it would be a good idea to share tips and tricks to help each other out. Let's post some tactics that we've found so far in bringing up scores!

Some stuff I'd like to mention along with things I've found:

    * It's reallllly important that you become familiar with the jewel shapes so that you know how to set up your necklace sequence in advance. Also, remember that the size difference in the jewels also matter...it's not just about aimming for the right colors.

    * Try to make sure that none of your shots miss. For every 3 jewels you properly sequence, a powerup will appear. Powerups are the key to making a high score, and will make your break the end result of your game.

    * Treat the homing missile powerup and the score booster powerup like they're your best friends. Always juggle them. These powerups rock. Also, make sure you shoot the magic mirror at least once before you catch it.

    * If you've got an abundant amount of homing missiles and lots of time left on the clock on level 3, spam those missiles out! Homing missiles you fire are never "wasted" -- they will always roam around looking for a correct target even if the gem you need isn't on the screen yet. Have 8-10 of them out if you want...they are your aid in racking up necklaces fast in conjunction with the magic mirror.

Okay guys, share away! I'll be posting as I get more acquainted with the game.

that's the same general strategy that i use. i want to add two things:

*you should NEVER pick up the clock as it slows down your progress tremendously. on average, each clock i pick up = about 20,000 points lost.
*when the jewels are moving, don't waste your time in juggling any powerups (except for the mirror), by doing so, you could lose precious time needed to complete an extra level.

the biggest royal cup (over USD$68k) in king.com history has been launched in graceful jewels. go practice and then join in the fun before it's filled. i'm currently on round 6 at the moment.

It took me long enough to figure this out for myself, but if you're new to the game and wondering how the hell people score 300k+ -- big scores are made by maintaining the serial multiplier. That's the score multiplier you get for adding jewels to the necklace without breaking any unnecessary jewels. It's absolutely vital that you not break unnecessary jewels at all.

For a lot of people, working on that aspect of the game will be the determining factor in making either a great score or a sub-par score. It's all about practice and execution...always strive for a perfect game with as close to 0 errors made in shooting the wrong jewels.

Ok so since the Royal cup is back, I thought we would revive this thread. I am ranked about 20th on King, around 9800 and I have scored about 650k but I stopped playing once the Royal cup was over. Any idea on how these guys are consistently scoring over 600k and now even 800k??

    What have I missed!

I think you're the best out of all of us in Graceful Jewels, haha. Anq was pretty good back when the game was released, dunno if he's still in shape for some GJ.

Ugh, I feel like I am just missing some trick to this whole thing because I can go pretty much the whole game at time without missing a jewel, juggling the mirrors, ect and My highest is still only 650k... There has to be something I'm missing here, I'm pretty fast at it and dont have to look at the necklace too often... frustrating...

I just entered the cup and lost on the first round to a 650k score.. it's like its normal for these guys now >:|
