Anyway what I wanted to know is do you think the type of mouse you use helps? I have a standard optic mouse, but I am aware that there are gaming mice available with higher precision and was wondering does anyone know if they make a difference? or is there any other device that you find particularly useful?

Many Thanks
I wasn't loving my cheap generic Dell USB mouse so I tried a gaming mouse for a bit but ended up returning it. Just seemed like overkill and it had a ton of stuff to configure and I wasn't up to trying 8 million scenario's to figure out what was best.

I did a little googling and uncovered some tips to make an existing optical mouse perform better like overclocking the usb port, eliminating acceleration, etc. I think removing acceleration and overclocking made my mouse feel smoother and more predictable in it's movement to the point where I don't think about it anymore.
