Spootnic has taken a specific stand on limited/small wagering (which I don't necessarily see as a bad thing or marketing tactic), so I wouldn't expect to see them ever have very large payout tourneys. I dunno remember what they were like, when they were Games n' Roses, so until I do my write-up on them I am limited to knowing that: one, they seem to have the best graphics, but slows down gameplay, and two, they are very French, and three, I dunno why they changed a perfectly catchy name for themselves!

Really? Have they expressed that they want to keep the jackpots small? I've noticed they have been doing some 250 Euro tournaments once in a while, but nothing beyond that point. However, I do not frequent the site that often.
I was on them when they were GnR. You really think they have the best graphics? Oh, wait you are talking site graphics then? Yeah, when they were bought it was completely revamped into what it is now. Ha, I wasn't a fan of the GnR name, but I am not of Spootnic either.

Thanks for mentioning Gamarena (which is now - DiceArena), as I didn't know about them. Now, I dunno if they will take my money (PayPal is not listed), but in their "terms" they do allow U.S. Players that are not on the exempt list. I just succesfully registered with them, so ... (geez, like I need one more place to write about, right now)

Now these guys have the best graphics in my opinion. And, yeah.. I know it sayd US can play for cash, but how can we if we can't make a deposit?? I am sketchy of the amount of players online though because internet statistics don't match up to what they say is always online.
Actually, back that up to Spootnic as well... they always say they have hundreds online, but my game play and the internet stats don't add up - nearly to that - I don't like it when sites lie.
Dicarena's games are nice though. I am pretty certain they license their content and system too.

uVme - WTH happened to them? Snazzy site, marketing, great graphics. But, that affiliate program I wouldn't touch with any sized pole. If I had $200 to part so easily with, I simply pour it into SA, WW, etc. and try to earn that way. As far as playing, I played and still seems to be running.
|
You thought that was snazzy? Even worse customer service. I tried to contact them just to say hi and network a little in the 'indie' skill gaming industry. I was met with some lady that didn't know what was going on and wouldn't get me in contact with a manager/business development person at all, said that she can't do that. How retarded... They missed out on some good info.
I forgot about Gamecolony - any action over there? Don't know where those owners are, the thing has been the same since 2002 I think..
Surprisingly enough, the recession didn't hit us as hard as other industries. Yeah, its hard to part with cash, but skill gaming is also a 'cheap' form of entertainment. A lot of people cut back on expensive entertainment and went online, where they discovered skill gaming.

And don't think that I am stroking SA ... I hate the website (I've built too many of them, myself), the graphics for the site and most games are pretty lame, and gameplay can be twitchy in some places where it should be snappy. And, the forums remain hard-to-find, and with the exception of me ... rarely utilized.
|
Wait, what do you hate about us? Or is this sarcasm.. hmm, I must not be good at sarcasm...
We need a facelift, in due time. Games lame :O, really? I think our portfolio has only been getting better and better - some interesting games that are not common in skill gaming and graphics are very appealing (Bomboozle, Blockies, ect)
Forums are hard to find, but they haven't been pushed a lot. More people read, rather than participate, but that isn't uncommon.
Where is it twitchy? A game performance problem is, most of the time, isolated to the user computer - let me know what's happening and maybe I can give some tips.
